Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

These were my first pair of nikes, and I'm very happy with them. I wore adidas, brooks and asics before, but they mostly didn't have enough cushion. Air pegasus has good comfort and stability. I love nike and road runner sports.

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

I have worn Pegasus for years! I have a narrow foot but found this shoe too large at the heel and rather stiff. Pegasus used to have so much to offer, but it seems they have designed for a wide foot as MOST running shoes. Nike, you're messing up a market!

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

I've run in a variety: Nimbus, Glycerin, Boston, Pegasus, Structure Triax(b/c thats what our team gave us), Tailwind, Supernova Cushion, Trigon Ride, etc. Despite my love of the curve lasted adidas and brooks models, I really enjoy this shoe. For a $80 shoe it has great cushioning for your supinators(&nice for people with bunions like me) and the toe box is quite roomy which Nike used to never give more room up here so I commend them on this. It works well with and without orthotics. For having the full length air, this shoe flexes well. (I'm 125# female who could not flex the trigon worth a darn) so this is a nice feature as well. The only thing I would criticize is the tongue comes a little high and its a little thick so beware how tight you tie them at the top if you have a high instep. But for $50 on clearance, I'd say you can't go wrong, if nothing else you have a nice pair of knock around shoes if you don't like running in them.

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

While I don't jog with these sneakers, I use them for eliptical, step and aerobic classes. I love the light weight feel and cushioning in the heal and toe box area. This is my first pair of Nike in many years. I have been a New Balance buyer, and not been very happy with them lately. I hope these sneakers hold up a little better. This review is after one wear at my classes.

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

I tried Asics for some reason after being a loyal Pegasus fan for years, and was rewarded with a stress fracture. The podiatrist blamed the shoes. I went back to Pegasus and things are fine again. Why did I doubt a good thing? Nike Pegasus are the best.

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

I bought these in February but didn't start wearing them until June when they replaced my '04 Pegs. I'm not happy with these shoes. I rotate different shoes every day so these only see about 10 miles a week and already the sole are really worn down. The forefoot cushioning seems to be going away too. I don't feel the full length air as I have in other Nikes. I have worn Pegs on and off for 15 years and am not impressed with these. I also find that the collar of the shoe, at the front of my left ankle tends to dig/rub. I have a small build and under-pronate.

This is the only running shoe that works for me. I always have a spare pair handy in case the shoes I am currently wearing get wet in the snow or rain, or dirty with mud. Air Pegasus is a classic shoe and is blessing for someone like me with a D width. Thank you Road Runner Sports and Nike

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

I've worn Pegasus for years. Nike has gotten it all wrong with the 05 and 06. Too stiff, too bulky, and the toe box is too wide. Nike, if you are listening bring back the '04s.

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

I have run in previous models (especially loved the 04's) for ages. The 05's were terrible, but I was willing to give the 06's a try, and felt the things that were wrong with the 05's had been eliminated. This shoe does seem roomier in the toe box then previous versions, and it was stiffer at first. However, after a few runs it loosened up. The cushioning is top-notch, as in previous models.

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

Felt a better fit as soon as I put them on. Was glad to see they were not made in Indonesia. A great ride for the first run and the "Full Length Air" felt great as did the new "Toe-Off Support" feature. Pegasus 2006 might be the best ever! I may be back next week to go to five stars!

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

I have been wearing this shoe for about a month now and I really like it. It was a little stiff and bulky at first, but after about 20-25 miles it started to feel more comfortable and seemed to become more responsive and flexible. Overall this is a good shoe for neutral runners who are looking for something along the lines of the Nimbus, or Cumulus.

Thought I should add a woman's viewpoint. The 2006 Pegasus is the only shoe that works for me. After running for 10 years, my soles started going numb with every shoe. After returning 4 pairs of various styles, tried these. Very comfortable. No numbing. I'm on my third pair.

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

I am 6'2" 215 and have fairly neutral gait with a slight overpronation. I have run in the Motos (loved them), Asics 10 (too floppy), and my favorite so far, The Boston Classic (has perfect cushioning and response!) I highly recommend the Boston for anyone with similar attributes. Oh yeah, this was for the new Pegasus. This is the closest shoe I have found to the Boston. I love toe off with this shoe and the cushon is perfect. Not too mushy like the Vomero and not too firm. From heel to toe I love the ride. We will see how they hold up. I will keep you posted after I put more miles on them but out of the box they are great!

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

Worn Pegasus for many years. Wound up with foot nerve compression with 05 model. Shoe tongues were too tight. Tried 06. Same basic problem where tongue fits too tightly compressing the insteps. Sent them back for a refund. Nike reps, if you actually read thes posts or get feedback fron them, listen up!!! Tell your designers to go back to the drawing board and make the shoe like it was made 20 years ago. Stop cutting corners and raise the price if you have to, but give me the quality and fit Pegasus had for oh so many years.

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

I have been a loyal wearer of the Air Pegasus since 1992. Even when they were discontinued, I wore them as I stock-piled several pairs. I absolutely loved the 2004 Air Pegasus, and once I realized I needed the wide width of the 2005s, I liked those too. But have to say, the 2006 Air Pegasus has got to be, without a doubt, the worst piece of garbage Nike has ever produced. I've tried them with several different times of workouts (hill repeats, speed-work, long runs, short runs, etc.) and I just can't get comfortable in them. I liked the 2005s much better. I hope Nike moves back towards that in 2007. They had a good thing going...and they screwed it up.

Comments about Womens Nike Air Pegasus 2006 Running Shoe:

Like Willey, I did fine in the 05. I have 35 miles on these shoes since last Friday and they are working well. The insole is different, seems harder and I found a few hot spots, but they are getting better as I break in the shoes. The firmer feeling insole seems more supportive than the softer versions, but they seem to need more break-in time. Overall, I like these shoes. I wish they were as light as the 05.
