These shoes have done very well through the 100+ miles I have already put on them. They have good stability and cushioning, while staying fairly lightweight! I plan to use them in a 1/2 marathon coming up in a month, and look forward to them getting me across the finsih line!

Great shoe to train in for me at 5'9, 150#; currently running in second pair. Comfy and quite stable on my overpronating feet.I took away 1 star because the treads(bottoms) seem to wear out much faster than the rest of the shoe or any other shoe I've worn.

Completed my first marathon in these, so I have lttle point of reference. Sever overpronator, 165lbs. With orthotics, I was able to manage ITB pain enough to finish training and the race. I put about 200 miles on them and they are still solid. Also used Cesium for training. These were much better for long runs. I will likely try the next generation for my next marathon.

At 5-7, 140 I found the cushioning in this shoe to be awful. Loved the AST 9's and felt they were a much softer ride. Just called to return these for the new AST 11's hoping the cushioning will be improved. Definitely a step down from the AST 9.

Just rolled 375 miles in 'em. Best shoe I've ever had, period. Great cushioning and support, and have held up amazingly well for the beating I've given them. Sole is still in very good shape. Left heel air bubble blew out this weekend. At 6'1 190 lbs, I can't believe they held up so long. I bought another pair. For larger runners, this is the ultimate shoe.

these shoes are great! i love the firm cusioning. i generally have a hard time finding running shoes that fit. i have a long skinny foot (13 D) that is too wide for most narrow shoes but too skinny for most regular width shoes. these fit my foot perfectly because they aren't designed with the typical narrow heel, wide forefoot last that most running shoes are equipt with today. i was hesitant to go with a nike because i know that they are always discontinuing their shoes, but i figured i was safe with a classic like the triax.

Decent shoe. I wish they kept the soft midsole and the lower to the ground profile as the AST 9. It seems that every brand is making their shoes stiff anymore to cater to our overwweight socoity. Being a 120 lb male runner the 9'd were nice and lasted 600 miles. These things may last 2000 miles if I can ride out the hard ride that long.

Way to go Nike! I have become a devoted wearer of the Structure Series. My previous pair of shoes was the Structure 9's, which were the one of the best pair of shoes I have ever had. Now the Structure 10's are even better. I am 5'10", 165 lbs and struggled for years with stress fractures and pains in my ankles and knees and these shoes made all the pain go away. I have put 75 miles on these shoes and are holding up great.

very good shoes for long distance mileage ..
a few bulky feel but Support , Stability , cushioning is great!..
I'm gt-2110 and kayano 10, 11 wearer.
but gt-2120 is trash ( solyte midsole is very stiff.asics's big mistake.).
I must find gt-2110 alternate..
finally , I have find gt-2110 alternate. It's ast 10,
more supportive , more stability , more cushioning than gt-2110 but a few bulky.
If you find stability shoes for long distance, this is your shoes.
I recommend this..you will not regret.

I'm a bigger runner and the AST has worked fine for me so far-50 miles on one pair. It is stiffer (some would say clunky), not as responsive and feels higher off the ground than prior versions. For those who liked the AST 9, you should check out the new span 4, which has gotten very good reviews on other running boards and is probably more like the old AST than the 10.

I've been running in Nike's for over 30 years, I have seen a constant regression downward of their products, ie.... shoes in particular. I went from the Triax series of shoes, to the Vomero's. Ever since I ran in the Triax series 9 shoes I've had chronic tendinitis in both ankles and now in my left knee. I can tell you I know my shoes as a former Nike Rep and Running Store owner. I don't know who is doing product development at Nike now but they really need to assess their past, present and future technology. They've had many good shoes in the past, only to see discontinued account the wrong fashion statement or just because Nike thinks the shoe might be getting stale. I hope someone at Roadrunner Sports will pass this on. Please feel free to contact me if you like. I feel this is a serious enough issue that needs to be followed up on. Thanks, Bill Martin Ft Worth Texas.

I have worn only the Structure Triax for 10 years and after 15 pairs over the years have lost count. I'm 5'9", 160lbs and fairly flat and wide feet and do well in stability shoes. The No. 9 was the best of them that I'd had...I was breaking my previous PRs time after time. I've honestly given these my best shot in mileage but the changes in this version are horrible...my toe off is much slower, it throws off my gait cycle, and I have shin splints, which never happened with any of my previous shoes.

Bought this shoe in January '07, and have logged 203 miles in them since. Great fit and cushioning. Although labeled a "stability" shoe, it isn't nearly as rigid as many I have tried that fall into that category. Set PR's in 5k and 10k this year, and have been injury free all year (knock on wood). I would recommend this shoe to any runner looking for a very cushioned shoe with good stability (not as stable as some of the New Balance offerings, but plenty for me at 6'1" 190 lbs). My back up pair is the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6, also a GREAT shoe, with slightly less cusioning/stability. I'd recommend it as well.

I've run 14 marathons, and I put in 60 miles a week to train. I've always stuck by Nike, but this shoe is horrible! I developed calf pain from them (never had before) and they are just extremely uncomfortable. After trying these shoe for a full use of 220 miles, I tried a pair of the Triax 9 that I saved..just in case. It was like putting pillows on my feet after enduring the pain of the Triax 10s. I through with Nike and Road Runner should be ashamed of selling these!

Great feeling shoe out of the box...but the midfood cushion wears out very fast. I would suggest these for high shool athletes who are on a budget and are running on a variety of surfaces. High milage on the New York City roads beat the midsoles and the forefoot of sole up. I only got bout 150 miles on these before my feet started to hurt..I just pulled some fresh ones out , they feel great! but I will see how long they last!

Structure 10 is not the right way to evolve the Structure, no 8 was good, 9 was a bit less, this one isn't better. My main complaint is the wear of the outsole on the front foot and the changed fit that might be due to the new insole.
I've used at least 6 of the 10 different Nike Structures and that's exactly their problem. It is like a completely different shoe each year.

After the fist day of running in these I started to develop shin splints. I gave it another try a couple of days later and experienced the same thing (much worse), as well as pain on the outter part of my foot. The beveled heel forces your foot to land on the outter part of the foot causing an over exaggerated underpronated foot strike. Even walking in the ASTs felt akward. Thankfully, I was able to exchange them for a pair of ASICS 2120s.

After taking two years off with tendonitis in my knee these are the first shoes I have been able to run in pain free. They are perfect for my fairly flexible foot type- the deceleration from the radius on the lateral heel as well as the sectioning of the midsole do a great job of reducing my rate of pronation. I'd prefer a slightly higher durometer on the medial side, especially on long runs, but this style really works for me. The best Structure Triax yet and the best I've found for moderate to severe over-pronators who suffer more from accelerated rate of pronation than max pronation angle. Love em!

This shoe re-introduced me to the love of running. I have been running on the Asics Gel Kayano for the past several years, and quite frankly, have lost interest in part due to the clunkiness of my shoes. The Triax 10+ is not too heavy, stable, gives ample room in the toe box without feeling sloshy, and just plain fun to run in.

I wore out two pairs of the Pegasus as well as my shins before buying a pair of Triax 10's and Asics GT2120. The Triax 10 is the best fitting trainer I have ever worn. Incredible support and comfort.
And it's fast! I use the Triax for shorter, faster runs and track workouts, but the cushioning isn't there for repeated road beatings. Alternating in the Asics GT2120 on longer, easier days works nicely.
Nike made a real winner here, now if they would just make it in black.

I have worn the Air Structure Triax since they first came out many years ago--probably have gone through at least 10 pair. This version lacks the cushioning of the previous models and is the only shoe I have ever returned to RRS because of injury caused to the bottom of both feet after only a 5K run on two occasions. I even had a new RRS Cush Runner Insole installed. I took the insole out, put them in my old pair of Triax (104207) and am running injury free although the soles are quite worn.

OMG!!! What comfort, what support, what fit!!
Ok, these were the exact thoughts that went thru my mind the first two miles of my first run in my brand new AST 10+.
Its probably the best shoe I have owned so far in my short running experience of about 3 years. I used to swear by Asics 2xxx series. They now have a worthy competitor!
Would heartily recommend them to anyone who love the Asics 2xxx, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS series (the top 2 stability shoes in the market) as well as those who use stability shoes in general. For the record, am a male, age 38, 157, so they are perfect for lighter runners like me.

I'm coming from the perspective of a 175 pound runner doing about 20-30 miles/wk who was looking for a shoe to help fix a pretty bad case of shin splints (the medial tibial variety for any fellow sufferers out there). My rememdy was a little rest and switching from an admitted old pair pair of Brooks Adrenaline 6s to the AST10s. Sixty miles later my shin splints are basically gone. I find the AST10s to be plenty stable and also refreshingly soft compared to the Brooks. No problem with heel transitions. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are complaining about here, but I never tried the AST9s. I find the 10s transition to be a lot smoother than the Brooks. I also found the curve in the last to be almost perfect for my feet. So, for any Brooks Adrenaline runners out there looking for a new shoe, I definitely recommend giving the AST10s a test drive!

I have run in the Asics 2000 series for years. I tried the ASTM and was disappointed in the amount of cushioning that I found in the heel. I went out about 1/2 miles and had to turn around due to pain in my ankles and shins. I put on my older Asics and ran the 7 miles with no issues. On the plus side, the ASTM fit extremely well, just not the right amount of cushioning for me.

Great shoe! Very wide in the toe box but not too wide in the heel. The AST10+ is very direct to the ground, strong cushioned and gives a good hard feeling.
I don't like too much cushioning in my running shoes because it acts against stability. More cushioning needs more support in the shoe: The weight of the shoe increases.
The AST10 is extremely soft in the toe box - I love it and I love this shoe.

I just got these shoes and tested them out on a short run and quickly developed my opinion about them. I just read the first reviewer's opinion and have to agee totally. The heel doesn't have a nice transition through the rest of the stride, it feels as though your striking the ground with a hard piece of plastic. The nice thing about the previous version of this shoe was that although it was a stability shoe it did not have the typical feel of one. These shoes unfortunately do. Maybe they've made these shoes more stable than the previous version and this is the effect its had. They have made the shoe more form fitting, so much so that it's a really close fit between being too narrow and just right. I have a pretty narrow foot and on the outer side of the shoe it starts to curve back towards the heel a little too soon. It almost feels as if something foreign is inside my shoe that I'm stepping on. I'm curious to see what other runners have to say about this shoe.

The cushioning in the inner heel is terrible. Even when walking on the road you can hear the dry sound of every step like having a piece of wood on the heel. Stick with Triax 9 a much better shoe. I switched to Brooks Trance 6. The cushioning, fit and stability are excellent and they are even roomier that the Triax. I end now less sore my long run of 12 miles with the Trance 6. I highly recommend these brooks shoes to any runner who is concerned about saving his or her legs from the heavy pounding of running.
