best running shoes i have ever owned. i originally had the 5.0 then moved to the mayflys but they are limited and fall apart (as they are intended to). i found the 3.0 and fell in love. rather than support your weakness these train your foot to preform better. it kind of sounds like BS but is true.

I'm so impressed by Nike Free that I'm doing this review my first ever of any product. I read about and was intrigued by the technology in the Nike Free's. I bought a pair of 5.0's. At first I marveled at how light and comfortable they were, then after walking in them for one day, I noticed soreness in my feet in unusual places. I realized that I was indeed using muscles in my feet that I normally didn't. My feet felt like I had walked in sand all day at the beach. After a few weeks my feet strengthened and it's been great. My feet feel better, the Free's are very comfortable and lightweight, I have 5 pairs now, I love them. Way to go Nike. Give these a try, I think you'll love them.

Excellent non-technical trail shoe! I've run many long miles in the Free without any problems (except stones/sticks getting stuck in treads). Highly recommend for a lightweight trainer/racer!

I bought my first pair of free's two years ago and have gone through three pairs thus far averaging 15 miles per week in them. Off road, on road, races, and rain they've been the best shoes I've ever worn. Not recommended for cold weather. After wearing them every other shoe has felt like running with blocks on my feet. I'm hooked and I think you will be too if you give them a try.

Really good shoes. There fun to run in. Cushioning is better than it looks. Super light and you feel fast.

I have run ~250 miles in the Nike 3.0, with the longest runs being ~20 miles. I have trained exclusively in Nike Frees for some time, and they have helped me stay injury free, running between 60 and 90 miles a week. The 3.0 is by far the best free so far. It is much more comfortable, flexible and durable than the other versions.

Very good. Even lighter than advertised with a very low heal and a much improved fit over the 5.0s. Cushioned enough for 8 mile runs (so far)on roads. Only complaint is that rocks get stuck in the grooves, but if you had 5.0s you're used to this.
