Peg user since 1988. Worst edition ever-no cushion, quick sole wearout. IPOD insertion fouled up cushioning. Nike, fix the shoe or stop making it. These are an embarrassment to the Nike brand name.

These shoes are an embarrassment to the famed Pegasus name/brand. Peg is the best selling shoe in history.They're too heavy, especially in the heel. The cushioning is screwed up by the ipod sensor. Yeah, I hope the Shoe companies realize that putting the plastic crap in the arch is a BAD thing, Not a GOOD thing. Keep the midsole flat, like they made in the 70's...

Now that the 08's are about to drop I thought I'd add a second review. I'm not paid by Nike, I not a Nike fan, I just run in what works. As someone else posted, I think the big difference is the split air units necessitated by Nike+. For people who need cushioning, the front unit seems over-inflated...

Miss the 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003 etc. Nike got it wrong in 07. Knee pain as the miles add-up. Will switch brands if I can find the same support as the 2006 Pegasus. What happened? Is the chip? The Pagasus 2007 won't be represented at the 2008 Arizona Ironman. Late

Used Pegasus since 1986. Recently switched to Vomero. They feel like the oldtime Pegasus did. They're $108 vs. $76 for the Pegasus-50% more. They're worth it. The Vomero actualy had shoe laces long enough to tie-not like the short Peg laces. That small thing, the short laces, told me Nike could care...

Enjoyed latest posts. Thought I was the lone wolf critical of the Pegasus. Used to get 600 miles, now about 150 at best. I've written and called Nike. The customer reps are fine, they take your input; but nothing happens to overall shoe durability. I chalk it up to corporate profit/greed/stock price...
