300 miles on my 1st pair and counting, 100 miles on my 2nd. 165 lbs, 5'10" 30-50 miles/week. This is a good shoe at a great value. I have had problems with the old Pegasus and Cumulus (shin splints/knee ache) and these ride like a dream by comparison.

I would have to agree with the Mike before me alittle.I have over 250 miles on mine rotating with the vomero 2.They still feel like new but they don't look like new,i like the forefoot cushion a little bit better in this shoe over the vomeros they seem to be a little to boucny and me knees will hurt after my long runs 8-9 miles. If this shoe had the zoom air in the heel instead of the air max i would say this would be the best shoe ever maid. This comin from a former Asics wearer and Nike hater!

Good shoes, very comfy, lots of room in the toes. My only complaint is they only lasted about 150 miles until the back outside edges of them wore out. I was running on road so that might have contributed but I would think they would have lasted a bit longer.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max Moto+ 5 Running Shoe:

I have taken my time researching my next pair of running shoes. I have tried on, bought, returned, and simply thew away many running shoes in my years of running. This shoe is awesome. Right out of the box it was a bit stiff in transitioning; however, that's expected since they have not molded to my feet yet. No pain or strain on my calves or shins, great overall response. I have put on about 30+ miles so far on these shoes and they are starting to feel like the shoe I expected them to be. Great construction, feel, and support. The toe space is not wide like people tend to exaggerate but it does give good allowance. Don't waste your money with expensive 180's or 360's, these pair of sheos are the best bang for your buck for serious running.

By Joey

from Undisclosed

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max Moto+ 5 Running Shoe:

I had been hit by a car when I was younger and had my right ankle, tibia, and fibula broken and consequently screwed back together. Since then, at least, while running my legs can at times become very painful with each foot strike to the ground that sends shock and force up my legs to such a degree that I have had to stop running at points in the past because my knees, ankle and shins have hurt so badly. In the past I have ran mostly wearing Nike basketball shoes, because they had good support and seemed to have decent sole padding, and occasionally with track training Puma Jago shoes (because I liked how light they were). However, by far this is the most comfortable, shock absorbing shoe I can remember, off the top of my head, ever wearing while running along with the SofSole brand Athlete model insole that I added.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max Moto+ 5 Running Shoe:

This is not a bad shoe as regards cushion and heel to toe transition. However, toe box is definitely too wide which reduces overall fit of the shoe. Vomero 1, Brooks Glycerin 4 and Supernova Cushion 4 had same level of cushion (or more in the case of Vomero 1) but were much better to run.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max Moto+ 5 Running Shoe:

This is a well cushioned shoe. I, too, have not run in Nike for some time as the run narrow in the toe box in many models. Works well for me as I have a more rigid, supinated foot. Very good product in my experience.

It took about 30 miles to break them in to the point of feeling like they're working with my gait. But now that they are, I love them. This is the ride I've been waiting for Nike to recreate after discontinuing the Skylon in the early 90's. Much smoother and more supportive than the previous Motos.

By Rich

from Undisclosed

Comments about Mens Nike Air Max Moto+ 5 Running Shoe:

I couldn't hardly finish my normal 4 mile run in these things! The cushion is way to springy giving me no support. I felt very unstable on these things as the weight of my 150 body compressed the soft cushion to awkwardly tilt my feet inwards. Also problematic is the lack of arch support. The biggest issue I have is the majority of the padding in the front of the shoe is lumped directly under the center the pad of my foot making it near impossible to keep balanced while running. I'm returning these shoes tomorrow in exchange for a pair of Saucony Progrid Trigon 5 Ride's that my roommate runs in. I tried on his pair and they have the right level of cushion in the right places, very stable.

I'm giving it a 4 just because nothing deserves a 5, you can always find something wrong...
I have been running a long time, I used to wear nike and stopped since they always felt like a stiff board...I tried the vomero and liked them for a short time period, I even did a marathon in them, but got blisters since the toe box was so narrow for my foot...any-way I went back to my usual brand...
it was time to replace my sneakers and I tried these on for the heck of it...the wider toe box is great...they have a nice soft feel to them which is nice for training...unlike the previous post I am not having a problem with my feet turning in, so I guess it's like everything else in the world it all depends on you and your own reaction/thoughts...
over all they are good

With the logic of not giving anything 5 stars, I'll give these a 4. I put 550 miles on these shoes and the soles still look almost new. Best wearing shoe I've ever used, and more importantly--still FEEL good on my feet. 30-mile weeks, varied training (distance, intervals, etc.) I'm a 5'10", 133 pound guy. Highly recommend this shoe, as it offers good mix of cushioning and some stability and holds up well. Only replaced mine because I'd far exceeded my normal replacement distance (350 miles) and felt it best to play it safe. The shoes still felt great.

My first few runs were great. I wear orthotics and had sized up the additional 1/2 size. The orthotic in the left shoe kept slipping and eventually I wound up with a black big toenail from constantly slamming the toe against the shoe. The right shoe was fine. I've worn Nike shoes since 1981. Mostly Pegasus, but air max, structure triax, etc. too. I'm finding that there's always a flaw in any pair of Nikes. Nike was founded to give runners high quality shoes. Sure the Corporation has expanded to other areas, and somewhere along the journey, Nike lost its running shoe devotion. Might be time for Nike to stop making running shoes or spin the shoe development off to another subcorp.

5'6" and 173lbs. Heal was narrow and the forefront was wide but a very good shoe. I actually loved running in this shoes with no leg or foot problems. But one problem - it wore out to fast. I would recommend this shoe to anyone who runs three to four times a week. You will like this shoe.

The forefoot width is HUGE. Besides Nike putting in the sensor+ junk, they made the forefoot wide enough so you can slip in a cell phone and an ipod. Nike, PLEASE go back to a more narrow last, If a runner has a wide foot, they can be free to go up to a wide 2E width. What you have done is make the reg D width a 2E wide as a boat width. Even the narrow width is huge. Narrow footed runners are left out in the cold!

Shoe is very comfortable and not to heavy. Just wondering if it is me or is the forefoot rather wide? I love the shoe but would love to see the forefoot with more of a snug fit. Feel like theres too much room.

Iwas all asics and used to hate nikes but asics went to the solite midsole which is like running on barefeet concrete.Got to try these on in 4e width. These are the best shoes i've ever ran in!

Very happy with Air Max Moto 5+. Was disappointed in Moto 4, those shoes broke down very quickly and had to be replaced after only approx. 225 miles. Gave Nike another chance with the 5+. glad I did. They're holding up well, I weigh almost 200 lbs., this pair has almost 300 miles on them and still feel good.

Ongoing quest to find the perfect shoe- these are getting close. forefoot cushioning is as good as the Vomero II, fit is the same, which is a little bigger than average. I need a 1/2 size smaller with these. Heel cushioning is a little firm. They're kind of heavy. Overall I think I still prefer the Adidas Megabounce, but only at the sale price. For the price these are as good as you can get. Need more color options though.

This is my "Go-To" shoe now. Ran the AF Half-Marathon in it. Durability is as good as I had hoped and overall more comfortable than my Air Pegasus. Put into play 30 July and still going strong.

I have about 140 miles on my first pair of any version of motos, including a marathon. I have been a big fan of the Pegasus, and this is even better. For me the fit is good, the cushion is good, and the shoe is more responsive than clunky (which is my major gripe with nearly every ASICS I have tried).

These shoes just might make me a Nike convert. Haven't worn Nike in years, but decided to try these after an injury. So far they are fantastic. Outstanding cushioning! Very good, guided/neutral transition. Decent fit (not perfect, but close enough considering excellent in every other way). Overall a great buy!

as a cushioning shoe, it has a lot to be admired. the width is great but basically it's a stability shoe. why doesn't nike add widths to the volmero2? as the previous rewiewer states.

i have the volmero and love the cushioning but the width sucks.if the volmero came in a wide width, it would be the greatest cushioning shoe of all times. p.s the colors are ugly

Do you think that these Nike Air Max Motos+5 would be a good substitute for the 2007 Nike Air Pegasus since they are both neutral shoes? A lot of people have been writing good comments about these shoes. If you look at the reviews for the 2007 Nike Air Pegasus, there are a lot of negative comments, and I have a pair of '07 Pegs which I am not to satisfied with them either. I tried on the Air Max Moto+5 in the store, and they feel much better than the '07 Pegs.

Superior cushioning compared to my previous Asics GT2120 or Eagle GT trail.Really comfortable fit.Plenty of room in toe area.Brought 1/2 size larger to be sure.I am really happy with these and will probably be a Nike convert.I would recommend!!!

Great shoe ! Wore version 3 and loved them, but the upper on version 4 didn't work for me. These are a real return to form - PU/Air Max heel and zoom air forefoot is a great combination. Upper has a light, roomy fit. Very good value for money. Not sure why they're classified as neutral - I would think neutral + is more appropriate - I weigh 220 and these hold up very well for me. This shoe is a real hidden gem for me - they deserve to be far more popular than they are !

i have done 50 miles in these shoes and they are holding up great,It has a air max in the heel and a zoom max cushion in the forefoot which makes it a very soft ride.Only wish they offered more of a colour range than just blue.

I am going to reserve the fifth star for durability. Will let you know. Purchase this to rotate in with my 06 Pegasus. Very cushy out of the box. Ran a 6 miler today for the first run. This shoe looks to be a winner. Good cushioning. Stabil. Reasonable weight. Let's see if it hold out. Other than my Pegasus, seems like durable shoes are a thing of the past. Try it on first. I went up a 1/2 size and probably could have gone a full size, but I am not complaining.

The best update of the year. The new Moto fits like a glove. An awesome transition from the Max Air heel to the Zoom Air forefoot. I just found my new favorite shoe!
