Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Hayward+ 3 Running Shoe:

Every once in a while a shoe comes along that does everything I want it too. For me, it's this shoe. I average 70 mpw and I could do every run in this shoe. It's light, flexible, no extra frills, and feels like a flat with cushion. I hope to god Nike keeps making this thing. It would be a shame if they disco the thing.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Hayward+ 3 Running Shoe:

Finaly, back to the begining. These shoes take me back to high school and college, when I was good. Ican run again without thinking. Light , simple and PRE is smiling. Run ready right out of the box. No whistles and bells, just what works. Bill and steve would be proud. Durability?time will tell. If these shoes disapear, it will be as tragic as 5-30-1975 was. The only negetive is the waffle is not like the original but technology must move on.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Hayward+ 3 Running Shoe:

My favorite trainer in years. After Asics ruined their DS Trainer I was looking for an all-around light trainer. This is it! A great shoe. Very comfortable fit, good toe off and you feel the road. It's not too much shoe for me at 40 yrs., 6'1 165, high arch, narrow foot. Maybe when I was younger and running faster I'd have thought so, though. I run every run under 8 miles in these or the Skylon and switch to the Vomero for long runs.
Love the style of this shoe as well. Very cool.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Hayward+ 3 Running Shoe:

to gus, I have flat, wide feet and am a biomechanically efficient, neutral-pronating runner. So don't believe the propoganda that arch height determines the proper shoe. Arch strength is the bigger determinant. I have very strong feet and so have no trouble forming a rigid arch on each step. I've run in the Nike free 5.0's for some years, now and run 70 mpw. All to say, it is quite relevant to note in a review that a shoe will not fit wide feet well. In general, both Nike and Adidas have historically focused on narrow construction, presumably because the shoe looks better, even though most people don't have narrow feet. That's a shame and an indication of putting form before function.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Hayward+ 3 Running Shoe:

This is a good shoe but it could have been a great shoe if Nike wasn't so focused on the cool retro/hipster look. Specifically, the lacing system and tongue do not work for me. Very hard to get them laced up with no hot spots, and very hard to get all the creases out of the tongue. I can rarely complete a run in these without having to stop and adjust the laces, usually several times. Otherwise, I agree with all the other reviewers who rave about the feel of this shoe: just the right amount of cushioning and flex. A more conventional upper would have been much better. Why did Nike discontinue the old Hayward anyway? It was perfect, and popular. Buncha idiots.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Hayward+ 3 Running Shoe:

I bought these at a specialty store that had run out of the asics speedstar in my size. A friend who works there recommended them. I was skeptical about nike but the test run was beyond anything I expected. Very, very flexible and responsive with great cushion. especially for a higher arch, midfoot striker. I ran a ten mile tempo run the day I bought them. Today a 14 mile progression and they're just terrific. The only drawback yet is the midsole tread in the forefoot is showing mild wear. Excellent in all respects. Nice job Nike.

Love them! It is hard to find a good flat shoe with no gidgets to support your foot. That is what I love! Very flexible up front and feels like a slipper. I put in 80-100/wk and they hold up great! Toe runner? Try these!

Excellent trainer. This shoe isn't overly cushioned like so many Air models from Nike. I wear this for recovery runs and LSD days. For me, it's too much shoe for speed work or racing.
