I am 5'6" and weigh about 140lbs. I had tried many, many shoes before finding this shoe. I had my gait analyzed by a Nike sales rep who said I had mild overpronation on my right foot. I tried the Triax+12, but there was something ill-fitting in the interior (ball of the foot) and the cushioning was bad. The Vomero 3's were super cushion-y and the fit was most excellent. They got me through a 10K, 1/2 marathon and full marathon in one month with no hip or knee pain. I did however end up with a fantastic blister on the inner ball of my right foot. And it's a shame because I love everything else about this shoe. I am looking for a shoe with the same fit and cushion as the Vomero's, but without that little stretchy feature on the side.

I walked the 60 mile Breast cancer walk in my Vomeros including all of the Pre-training walks leading up to the 60 miles. I never once had a problem with these shoes. No aches, no pains and not one little blister. I ended up buying two pair and I am going back for another for this years walk in Oct!!!

I recently ordered the Vomero 3 because I needed new shoes. I had previously found my perfect shoe in the Asics Gel Nimbus 10, but as that has been discontinued, and RRS was out of my size, I thought I'd give the Vomero 3 a try. They are pretty cushy, but I don't think they have as much response as the Nimbus 10. Also, I have flat feet (but work best in a neutral shoe) and my arches started to ache a bit around mile 2. This never happened in Nimbus 10. I haven't gotten any blisters or hotspots, though, which confirms the fact that I am a neutral shoe runner. I guess I will keep these shoes and find some Nimbus 10's as well to rotate. I am pretty sure that I am an Asics runner, but these shoes get the job done.

So happy to find a Nike shoe that would accommodate my bunions. I absolutely love this shoe, but have one issue with it. There is not a lot of support around the ankles. The first time I ran up a hill I thought a shoe was going to fly right off my foot. I will probably keep this pair for non-hill runs and try the latest Vomero on the hills.

I am all Nike all the time and have run in several models. (I've also run in adidas in the past.) The Vomeros are definitely the most cushioned shoe I've worn and are very comfortable. After 3-4 runs in them, I must say they are not responsive at all. I feel like when my foot hits the pavement, all my energy goes into the pavement ... nothing comes back ... leaves my legs feeling very dead. I am a forefoot striker, which might have to do with it. I'm als in the midst of a higher-mileage week. But I changed into a different model for my run today and definitely felt better immediately. So, not teh perfect shoe for me. I'll continue to wear them periodically because I need some softness occasionally.

Yeah, I agree with almost every other runner: these are really superbly ultra-cushy; which often predates an accelerated pssst. But I'm lovin um while they last. I found them substantially rooomier in the fore foot than Nikes past. I need a thicker sock or some glue to keep them from being shucked at the quarter mile mark- not kidding. I'd describe them as a one width fits all. Oh, and surprise they come in only one width- an ambiguous B. In summation, I feel kinda like I'm sorta empowered with an enhanced spacy edge when my vomeros are good to go- with or without me.

I wish they had a little more arch support but I can't complain. I have run in them a few times and I had no blisters. I also have flat feet and I overpronate... these ended up perfect. I know I should be in a "stability" and not a "neutral" shoe but these are perfect. I love them!!!! I also love how you can tighten the arch area. It's a shame there are no interior photos of the shoe so you can see it. Anyway, two thumbs up. ALSO someone said they catch on the treadmill and I don't have that problem.

They're super-cushiony, so my back or knees don't hurt as badly after long runs. However, I have found out that these shoes do NOT do well (IMO) on treadmills OR on artificial turf; they seem to grip too much. I have chronic sprain on both ankles, so I no longer where these shoes on those surfaces. These are great shoes on trails and asphalt, though!

I began training for a 1/2 marathon and needed new shoes. My feet were falling asleep and hurting from time to time on my runs over 5 miles. After conferring with a Roadrunner rep he recommended the vomero's. After wearing them one time I was very happy. The shoes didn't last much past 150 miles but they are worth every penny. I did buy another brand to try but was not satisfied. I ordered the vomero's again and wear them on my long runs. I will continue to wear them whether for training for a 1/2 marathon or just trying to stay in shape. They have an added cushion on the pad of the foot for extra comfort.

These are the most cushiony, comfortable running shoes I've ever had. I have bunion issues, hip issues, and typically have had to buy men's shoes to get the room I need in the toe, but they never have the right fit in the heel. I feel great when I run in the +3, zero bunion pain, and my hip hurts no matter what. I haven't worn Nike in years because of width and overall fit- this shoe has changed by mind. It's worth it if I have to replace in less mileage for the comfort.

I was wearing the Saucony Triumph 4 and could not find in my size. As per suggestion of the rep at Road Runner, I decided to try these. I have been loving them. I was afraid they'd run narrow, but the toe box is roomy and there is a lot of cushion. I'm pleasantly surprised!! Never thought I'd use anything but Saucony--I have high arches.

Nice and cushy, but after the initial pleasantness, having pain in my arches, same as some other reviews. Replaced insoles with RRS cushion, is a little better. Thanks abbie237 for the idea!

My running had been limited by knee pain for several years; a local store recommended this and now I can run again. Also, broke my little toe last week---the stretchy panel on both sides was a boon!

I am going to recant the former praise I bestowed on these in July. After worsening knee pain since mid-September, my 2nd pair of plush Vomeros with their pillowy soft feel, but severe lack of support and tendancy to break down fast went bye bye. Enter Brooks Defyance. Did 6 mi. out of the box. So far, so good.

I have stayed away from nike for awhile due to the tendency to run narrow. I tried these per someones suggestion and I was pleasantly surprised. Absolutely the most comfortable & cushioned running shoe I have ever worn. I did have to size up one whole size as opposed to the usual half size for most running shoes.

My 4th pair wore out at 140 miles. RR Rep told me it is because more cushy shoes wear out faster...? Also having hip issues -- look at the men's review of this shoe re: achilles probs. Loved the shoe initially as the other reviewers have commented. Rep also told me that the injuries caused from this shoe are likely because folks are running with them worn out!

Outstanding shoe! The wider toe box eliminated hot spots and blisters, the cushion was almost springy, and gone are the sore knees and ankles I suffer from the last couple of shoes I have run in.

Sat, September 13,2008:
I don't generally run in Nike but bought these because I read that they were good for runner's with bunions. They are a comfortable shoe, although with orthotics it felt like my foot was high in the shoe, meaning the heel cup seemed shallow. Although the heel cup is supposed to be designed for a woman's narrower heel, I still had slippage. Although the toe box is supposed to be wider, and it is true that the stretchy fabric kept it from pinching, the base of the shoe is still narrow so I ended up with serious blisters on the outside ball of my foot and in other places where I'd never gotten blisters before. I'll return these and keep looking for the perfect shoe for these bunions! If you know of one, please share!

Am pretty happy with the Vomero 3's. They were super comfy right out of the box, but after about 150 mi in them, I began to develop some moderate foot pain in my instep. Went to my local RRS and was told this was a pretty common issue with these due to the shoe being super flexible. I stuck a pair of th RRS stability insoles and problem solved. After I go through these, I don't know that I would buy another pair of the same. I may go back to the old Saucony triumphs for future marathon training.

Being a runner with bunions makes it super hard to find the right fit that doesn't aggrivate my feet more but these Nike's are great. The design makes perfect sence. And Road Runner's experts really helped me find the right shoe for my feet. Great customer service!

I've been running 10-12 miles a week in these for a few months now. The Vomero 3 is a nice improvement over the V2, as they are a bit more supportive in the heel as well as slightly wider and forgiving in the forefoot. These shoes are a fantastic combination with my rigid orthodics, but I think they'd be way too soft for the average foot.

I have moderate arch, love the cushion, smooth quiet ride. These shoes are awesome, put 45 miles on them in a little over a week. One recomendation though they are fairly wide in the toe box, I have average width feet and found them even slightly wider than expected. Love them overall and the Nike Sport band is awesome too.

I am a bit disappointed in this re-design. The +3 just feels so different than the +2. The +2 was the best shoe I have ever ran in. I agree with the previous reviewer that this version has less arch support, and I have very low arches. I have a blister on my right arch after my first run in them. They also feel heavier/clunkier than the +2 to me. I'm going to be returning these and hopefully purchasing one of the last remaining pairs of the +2's!

I loved the Vomero +2, but these feel much different to me. The new model has significantly less arch support. The shoe last just doesn't feel the same as the +2. I do have fairly high arches though so this may not be a problem for others. I am really disappointed in the new version of this shoe b/c the previous version was the best shoe I've ever worn.
