This is my 1st Nike running shoe, up till now wide width was not available. I like it. The cushioning is good and there is enough arch support for my med/high arches.

Terrible shoes. Wish I could return them if I had the choice. I loved the older Air Pegs, but the new 25 model is absolutely horrible. Salesman said it should be the same as the old version, only lighter. Well, after three runs trying to get used to them, I have the worst shin splints and knee p...

Switched to Axics Gel (huge increase in comfort due to softer heal strike area) after what I beleive was heal problems due to the Air Pegs seemingly move to lighter overall shoe. Peg was great for years for me but last 3 pairs were problematic, heal pain and shoe seemed worn out after roughly 3 mon...

Not the same Pegasus I've loved for years. The cuff is hard and never softened up. The fit was not comfortable. I returned this shoe.

Been running in Peg for years(average 30 miles a week), last 3 pairs have had insert slippage causing pleats at heal, very uncomforatable. Also have developed pain in heal area, seems to be less padding in heal strike area. seems like Nike is cutting costs by cutting quality. I'm switching brands...

No matter how GOOD Nike makes its product, people will always find a problem soley because of "Nike." I personally think this is one of the best versions of the Pegasus and definitely the best update since the 2000/2002 models.

I was using some worn out other brand (Saucony) and thought I'd give Nike a try. My ankles hurt after two runs, I've run in $30 Asics that have felt better.

Long time Peg user. Terrible shoe for me. Blistered my Achilles (of all places) and I developed similar hamstring and hip issues mentioned by other reviewers. My first such injuries in over six train-ups and six marathons. Would send back, but it's too hard to do while deployed.

It's an inexpensive trainer; it's not supposed to be a miracle shoe. I've thought the same thing about the 06 and the 07 as I do this one: it's a good shoe for my non-long runs. Decent mix of adequate cushion and responsiveness. I'd actually give it 3.5 stars if I could.

I supinate and wear orthotics. These shoes made me overpronate and caused medial knee pain. Also, the right shoe upper is cut too tight and blistered my foot. The 07 Pegasus left shoe was cut too tight and blistered my left foot. With Nike lately, you never get any consistent quality control. Seems ...

So Happy Nike finally made the Peg alot lighter. Cleaner upper, carbon rubber outsole. Makes for a better, faster, responsive shoe. I personally don't like a soft shoe. One gripe I have is how can a shoe be responsive if the shoe is like a marshmellow. Some firmness has to be there to be responsive....

Nike promised a lot with this Pegasus edition. I found this shoe is worse than the 2007 edition. And now Nike is hyping Peg +25 special edition shoes at $25 more a pair. Give me a break. Is profit Nike's only incentive. What happened to the company that really produced outatanding running shoes???

Too Narrow? The Peg is still too wide..at least it is for me. To Bulky, bad heel toe transition. Can't stand the segmented heel. Ruins the smooth heel toe transition. Bye, Bye Nike!

I too would say this is overall a great shoe. My only issue is forefoot width as mentioned previously. I do not think the foot pain people are experiencing is from a lack of cushion. I think it is from the narrow forefoot not allowing forces to be distributed laterally. Might try the wide width....

Nice update. Lighter, more flexible, less overlays...Nike's done a superb job LISTENING to runners and adapting this shoe accordingly. My only "issue" is the volume of the shoe, it's a pretty low volume fit. Otherwise, this version is the best version in the last 3 years.

Thu, September 04,2008:
This version is easily the best of the last 3 years. It's lighter, softer and more flexible. The fit is slightly snugger which may bother some. Each year, no matter what, some people find a reason to hate the Pegasus but many more people like it. Nike is lucky people are so passionate about this...

Long time peg user. The forefoot cushioning is way less than the 2007 pegs. I compared them side by side and you can visually see it is slimmer in the forefoot. I even tried inserts. These shoes hurt my forefoot. Sending back.

Yes, these shoes are really, really, bad. Ran 4 times-5miles per run-wound up with calf strain. Nike, either fix or kill the shoe.
