Comments about Mens Nike LunaRacer+ Racing Shoe:

Just bought these and went from the store to the pavement for a 9 mile run. Shoes had great cushion and felt stable. My problem with this shoe is the toe box is small and both of my pinky toes now have some bad blisters. Would love to keep these but I'll be returning them. Not recommended for wide feet.

Comments about Mens Nike LunaRacer+ Racing Shoe:

These are the best shoes I've worn in 35 years of daily running and I mean for anything --easy mileage, tempo, and they are unbelievably good for treadmill mileage. Ironically, about the only thing I don't use them for is fast training and racing. I agree with others who think they are too soft/not responsive enough for fast running. But I did all my winter mileage (on a treadmill) in one pair and do about half my mileage outside (on soft dirt trails mind you) in them.

Cushioned and supportive for such a light shoe. Only beef is that toes feel cramped. The shoes tend to force my feet toward the front into the shoe when running. Good walking shoe.

Comments about Mens Nike LunaRacer+ Racing Shoe:

5'7'' 145lbs. I used these shoes for speed workouts and races. At first I noticed that the cushioning in them seemed to slow me down a bit. The best way to explain it is to imagine the difference between running on a hard surface or running on pillows, the pillows would absorb too much and take away the drive from each of your steps. After about 50 miles, the shoes must have been broken in and felt fine to me. But then about mile 100, the cushioning must have broken down and the shoes really gave me knee and shin pain. Overall, just too much trouble for me, must not have fit me right.

By Anonymous

Comments about Mens Nike LunaRacer+ Racing Shoe:

The cushioning is ok, but not as good as advertised. Despite its "Free-like" appearance, it lacks flexibility and road feel. I find that the ratio of heel to forefoot height tends to push my foot to the front of the shoe, jamming it a bit. Oddly, even though the forefoot outsole seems quite wide, the toe box feels confining to me, regarding both its width and height. The forefoot outsole, on the other hand, is almost too wide, making for a slightly unnatural gate, for me at least.
Overall, I think a lot of people may like this shoe, but for me it offers something of the worst of both worlds. Like a a heavier, more structured trainer, it lacks comfort, flexibility and road feel, but it lacks the support and cushioning such a trainer normally provides.
I LOVED the Terra T/C and the Triax T/C, but I find the Lunar to be nothing like those two unfortunately discontinued classics. (Nike loves to discontinue great shoes and replace them with mediocre ones.)
In conclusion, I don't

By TriStunna

Comments about Mens Nike LunaRacer+ Racing Shoe:

I found these shoes to be very comfortable, but have a big problem with them. The cushioning in these shoes seem to absorb 15 seconds per mile out of my tempo runs. They did not work for my foot strike, and perceived efforts were much slower than usual. I prefer the firmer ride of the Nike Marathoner much more over these.

Comments about Mens Nike LunaRacer+ Racing Shoe:

Have now run twice in this Lunaracer and I just cant get over how something so light could be so comfortable! I run at a moderate pace about 2 or 3 times per week roughly 4 to 6 miles and for this purpose the Lunaracer is terrific! Lightweight, cushiony, breathable and cool looking (to me anyway!) I was a saucony guy, then an Adistar racer guy, and most recently a Nike Free man. Now i'm a LunaRacer+ man through and through. Nicely done, Nike!

By BP

from Undisclosed

Comments about Mens Nike LunaRacer+ Racing Shoe:

Ran 7 in these right out of the box, very cushioned for a <6oz shoe. Typically train in the Vomeros but will add these to the rotation. Want to use them for a marathon in Sept, will see how they fell for the longer runs (15+ miles) then decide. The only thing I am not crazy about is the laces. They are the flat cotton ones like on kids tennis shoes. Not sure why they are on this racer, but those are easy enough to change.
