I am a high school sophomore who does Cross Country and Track. My track events are the 800, 1500, and 3000 meters. I have used them in my time trials and they yield excellent results.
To begin with, the traction on these shoes are excellent. It had rained on the outdoor track and it was very slippery. The spikes held stopped me from slipping, falling, or even feeling off balance.
They are also EXTREMELY light. I noted some concerns from my peers and coaches about how the weight of the shoe compromises the support. I worn them with Nike Dry-Fit socks and they provide enough support in my eyes.
One concern I have for others who wish to buy this shoe is perhaps the narrowness of it all. Luckily for me my foot fits in it snugly, but it may prove troublesome for some athletes with wide feet.
Overall this is a fantastic middle distance spike; it's super-light, breathable, fits nicely, just like a sock. I would recommend these spikes to any track athletes who are doing the middle distances.

half of you have no clue what you are talking about. they weigh 3.6 ounces first of all. and they are probably the best spikes i have ever owned and i have owned plenty.
obviously the people who dont like this shoe have no right owning them anyway because they are probably second rate racers. these shoes are top-notch.

I have been running track for a while now and I would have to say that this track shoe is the best that I have ever worn. The shoe is extremely lightweight which helps expel my fastest times in track meets. In addition, the shoe is also notably comfortable for its stellar design and fabrics.When worn, it feels remarkably snug with its compact insoles. My favorite part about the shoe is its outstanding traction. The numerous spikes that dot along the outer soles give me a firm grip on the running track. I highly recommend this shoe for these reasons.

You People saying this shoe is heavy as barbels or feels like you are running with chea plastic on your feet; are you drunk? This shoe simply amazing, fitting true to size, and helping you throw down faster times! Yea switch to a inferior pair of nike zoom[*] you will save a few dollars but i would take quality of quantity.

This shoe is for outdoor track meets including 800 and 1600 races. They fit like a glove and are not only cool, but cool-looking. Well-designed with quality materials, this shoe will help me fly this season! This shoe does run true to size, so I do NOT recommend sizing up at all. I ordered my regular running shoe size and they fit perfectly (no socks for spikes, of course, though a thin pair would work okay).

The people who said this spike is too heavy have no idea what they're talking about. This is by far the lightest spike I've ever seen. For people that gave it one star because it was too expensive, they obviously don't own the spike because they didn't want to pay the price. Once you buy it, you know it's worth the money. For those of you debating the weight, mine are size 11 and they are 3.6 ounces. Although they're really thin (I can see my toes through the fabric), they're really strong. My friend stepped on them with his spikes and they were fine. Ignore the people that gave it one star, they don't know what they're talking about.

this is one of the better spikes. the design is meant for someone doing a 800-1600, but like the miler you can use it up to the 5k or even 10k on the track if you body and legs can take it. As for weight remember that each size has a different weight to it, so if you want to get specific then just buy a scale. Also remember that not every shoe will fit everyone's foot. This is a great spike but some people like the vent's better or even the shifts, but it all depends on your foot.

who ever wrote the review before me is incorrect. this shoe is best made for 800-1600 meters, anyone using this shoe for any even over 1600meters would be, becuase this shoe is made with a mid-distance plate.

This shoe is amazing for a mid distance spike the flywire is the lightest material on the market, it only weighs 4.9 oz so the only shoe lighter is the matumbo and its only a few tenths of an ounce lighter so yeah get over it buddy but this shoe is amazing for anyone running 800m to 5000m
