Initially skeptical about the overall support of the shoe. All my worries have been quelled. I've run a couple hundred miles in these shoes and have had 0 problems. First week or 2 my legs were sore, but soon felt stronger and the ache went away. Will probably buy another pair.

Great shoe. 210lbs. Have not had any foot, ankle or knee problems since switching to exlusively running in the free 5.0. Did a half marathon last weekend and felt great.

I have an earlier version of this shoe, which I could not run in very often without injury. This shoe has become my regular shoe. A tight fit around the toes and upper foot but no problems with blisters. Enough support to protect the foot from bumps on trails and roads. I have always thought my shoes (asics 1130s) had too much cushioning--since I ran in the 70s with shoes with no arch support or cushioning, but could not find a shoe that was good for training. This shoe does the trick.

Excellent shoe. I do my high mileage training in these shoes and have found that I feel better during and after my run when I wear these. These have worked extremely well for me.

Best shoes ever. I wear these everytime i am going to be doing alot of walking or just casual. I get alot of compliments on shoes. Feel like your walking on clouds/marshmellows. Only problem i came in contact with is stitching on one shoe was coming out but road runner gladly exchanged. I LOVE THEM

Im a high school 800m (1:56) and cross country runner with extremely flat feet. I've always had problems with foot and knee pain and have even had to miss seasons due to related injuries. I didn't buy these to run in, but they are the only shoe i have ever owned that i can stand and walk around in for hours without pain. Amazing shoe. Its worked wonders for me.

This version of the shoe is similar (even superior) to the V2. The fit of the shoe is best for a narrow to moderate width foot (V3 had a wide toe box - yuck!). This version of this light weight shoe is more responsive while maintaining excellent flexibility, and sufficient padding for short and moderate length runs. I am 5'8" between 135-140 pounds and use these as day-to-day trainers having run in Frees for several years. My typical daily run ranges between 6 and 15 miles, and the shoe has held up well to road, track and crushed limestone trails. I would not recommend their use on true trails as the shoe does not have a tread pattern suited for use on muddy/slippery surfaces. Caution to people trying this shoe for the first time - the sole of the shoe has a low profile heal and provides adequate padding, but not excessive. This shoe is designed to encourage natural (barefoot) running mechanics and does not attempt to "correct" your natural foot strike. These will cause the muscles in

5'10, 165 pound supinator. Ran 8 miler in these right out of the box. Tired of shoes that force me to the outside of my foot (hello Mizuno). while the shoe feels a bit odd when you first put it on a few minutes into the run and you don't even notice them anymore. Now have over 100 miles on them and show very little wear. Wish they were a bit wider, but that is not going to stop my from giving them 5 stars

I Love this shoe! (Although I have no experience in the previous versions) Very comfortable and fits like a sock. I have a avg width/slight narrow foot and it fits perfect unlike the other reviewer. The main purpose of buying these shoes was to help me adjust from overly supported shoes to minimalist shoes, as I have been changing to proper form and fore/mid foot striking versus Heel. These fit the need perfectly, and are a great transition to more natural Minimalist/Barefoot running as they were intended... I've progressed into 4 runs so far in the shoe, and I am impressed. I am also considering them for daily walking shoes, I like them THAT much. :)

I have run in Nike Free for several years and am very disappointed in this version because they have made it slightly narrower in the forefoot which totally defeats the natural free movement of your foot as it should be.
