Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I have been meaning to write a review for these shoes for weeks. This is the 4th pair of shoes I tried before I settled with them! Even though trying and then returning wasn't fun, it was worth it to finally find shoes I can run in and not get sore feet or blisters. I have a wider foot and a bunion on my left foot only. Finding a shoe that didn't hurt my bunion and didn't give me blisters was impossible until I found this shoe. I even was fitted at a running store for 2 years and they kept putting me in Wide Saucony Prodgrid 8's. After 4 miles in those shoes I always got blisters no matter what socks I used or what I did to try to prevent them. Band aid's vaseline, etc Nothing helped and yet the running store kept insisting these were best for me. Since my husband never gets blisters and doesn't even wear special socks or have new shoes I knew it had to be the shoe. There had to be something out there that would work for me! I worked with the operators at Roadrunner and finally found the perfect shoe for me. I do take a wide in this shoe and the second time I wore them we ran a half marathon- the longest run we ever did and I was still fine! I love these shoes and will be ordering these again! Don't listen to running stores if you are still getting blisters. If you have a bunion and a wider foot try these in a wide! Finally! I can run without foot problems. Very happy with these!

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I wear this shoe everyday! I use it for regular walking, condition training, jogging, power walking and everyday use! I use the custom fit orthotic inserts with them as well! I used to get pains in my legs and my feet would ache after I exercised, but now I feel great after my workouts! Thank you Road Runner Sports! You guys are the best!
Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I bought this shoe in-store, at the recommendation of the Roadrunner Sports fitter. Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: (cont.) and also feel greatly misled). The shoe does have some great stability and cushioning features. However, none of that matters because the heel fit and other features are so poor. I specifically told the Roadrunner Sports fitter that because of my somewhat narrow heel and midfoot, I absolutely need memory foam in the heel collar and the tongue. He looked at the shoe and assured me that it had memory foam. He also commented that as Nike's highest-end shoe, it of course would. After major heel slippage on an awful run, I called Nike, which informed me that the shoe in fact doesn't have memory foam. Not right for the fitter to give me bad info. And really poor of Nike not to put that in such a high-end (read pricey!) shoe. Pros

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: When I first got the original Zoom Equalon shoe to replace an older Nike stability plus model, I wasn't sure how it would hold up. Well, that was about 10 prs. ago! I have bad knee problems (prob. shouldn't be running, you know how that goes) and do 10K's and half marathons, and these really cushion the impact, and last compared to other brands. I have used Nike running shoes nearly exclusively over the past 4 decades because of their narrow fit, & I do think this is one of their best stability shoes, although I do wear light orthotics with them. Now, if Nike would just leave them on the market and NOT DISCONTINUE THEM (unless to update the model),judging by the reviews we'd all be happy!

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: Everyone is different, but for me, these shoes are perfect. They are supportive enough that I'm not constantly getting shin splints and rolling my ankles like I did in my old running shoes, but they don't have the heavy, inflexible, brick-like feeling of other stability shoes I've tried. They work really well with the custom-molded insoles I got at RRS, and they fit like a glove: no heel slippage, and no pinchy toe boxes. It's rare that I can put on ANY pair of shoes without being constantly reminded of something about them that isn't quite right, and that problem is 10 times worse with athletic shoes. But for me, the Equalon hits that sweet spot. My only con -- and it's a trivial one in the grand scheme of things -- is the lack of color choices. I know there used to be more than just the white/baby blue, but those color choices were almost as tame. Even one with a more current colorway -- some neon trim or a black upper or *something* -- would be a welcome break from having shoes that are almost conspicuously bland compared to what both Nike itself and its competitors offer in other recent models.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: My husband and I are training for a 1/2 marathon. We have run for several years, but decided to start seriously running a year or so ago. These are the best running shoes I have found since getting older and not just being able to run in "whatever" without major regrets 1 mile into the run. My knees don't hurt, and I can walk up stairs after an 8 mile run in these. Something I couldn't do in my other running shoes lately. The padding under the toes is almost overdone--kind of a soft bar feeling at first, but give them a run or two and it is fine. The heel support and cushion is spot on. My only complaint is that all Nike shoes seem to wear out too fast, and my last 2 pairs (Volermos did this too) have developed a squeak after 150-200 miles. Still the most comfortable and close to perfect running shoes out there for high arches, cushioning, and some stability.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: After more than a decade of being a loyal Air Structure Triax (and more recently, Zoom Triax), I was pleasantly surprised at how 'classic' this shoe was in offering BOTH stability and sufficient CUSHIONING. I have found my new shoe! I only wish I had 'discovered' this shoe in time for my marathon last month.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: Great cushion for long distance training, but not crazy about the pronation control. Use my orthotics with it, & I'm OK.Best Nike has to offer in a pronation-control shoe at this time, thanks to Nucleus no longer available.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: comfortable, but buy full size bigger than normal. also i don't feel my foot is at all wide, but the shoe is pretty narrow. i would consider ordering a wide if your foot is remotely wide - or not.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I wore the Structure Triax for years until Nike changed it so much, it was a completely different shoe and started giving me foot issues. Sadly, I had to find another stability shoes and gave the Equalons a try. These shoes have been great and have not given me any issues. I use them for trail running and road running. I am about to order my 4th pair.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I run 30+ miles per week both outdoors and on the treadmill. These should provide great support and are very durable. This is my 2nd pair!

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I have been a New Balance wearer for 15+ years and just wanted to try something different. I wore NB s they were one of the very few that came in wide width. I found these Nikes and thought I'd give them a try. I will never go back to the NB again! The cushion and support and all around comfort is far and away superior to the NB and I never thought I would say anything against NB but Nike has them beat!!
Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: Nice & cushy; flexible. First Nike shoe I've really liked. And it comes in wide to accomodate my bunion without any blistering. Pros

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I usually wear a size 8.5 in stylish shoes ( especially if they have a pointy toe or run a tad narrow). In running shoes I vary --8 or 8.5 I can't stand tight running shoes (have had bunion surgery and am careful not to crowd my feet), but I hate floppy shoes just as much.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: this is the 4th pair that I have owned. I love these sneakers. The info says to order up 1/2 size. I haven't done this. They seem to run true to size for me.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I first tried this shoe on in a store because I have a hard to fit foot. I am in my 60's and have had foot problems in the past so I have to spend the time and make sure the fit is very good. I then ordered from Road Runner after checking a few online sites and found that their prices beat the competion. These shoes have met all my expectations. I mainly use them for running on the treadmill at the gym. I run 25 miles a week and, so far, these shoes remain comfortable and cool. If you road or trail run the wear out time would be increased. I use my own insoles so I bought a full size up but the shoes seems to run true to size. I am very happy with these shoes and would definitely buy them again.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: Feeling betrayed by Saucony when they discontinued the Hurricane 7, claiming the next versions were better but they hurt me: I tried Asics Kayano 17 and thought they were my new shoe. But got the Nike for rotation purposes and by then it was obvious that the Asics break down too soon. These Nike's give back energy, and while the Asics started out that way they started feeling sluggish at just under 3 months. I run about 25 miles per week +-, and am petite so I don't put excessive demands on a shoe. Seems like someone 4'11", 105 lb should be able to get more mileage. I'm hopeful these Nike's won't disappoint. They didn't require any break-in, that was nice!

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I was loyal to Nike Triax and tried Asics Kayano but didn't like the way the shoe fit. I came back to Nike and choose the Equalon as I required a stability plus shoe for the hills by my house. So far it is a great shoe.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I ran my marathon last year in these but recently discovered I need orthotics. I was urged to switch to a neutral shoe with my new orthotics but I am going to try them in these first. So far so good. I am still in love with this shoe. Not as much stability as the structure triax but they are so comfortable. The shape of the toe box is perfect for me and I like the cushion in the forefoot..though it does go flat quickly.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I've had foot surgeries and dealt with multiple injuries over the last few years, so buying new shoes without at least trying them on first isn't something I normally do.(I'm a 30+ mile per week runner with 2 marathons & 3 halves under my belt). These were on my Shoedog recommendation list. I am a Nike girl, so I thought I'd try them out. I rotate them with another pair of Nike's (Air Pegasus 27). These are very lightweight and feel like they are built well. It took me a few weeks to get used to them. The balls of my feet were sore after a run, but the pain didn't linger. (Typical when breaking in a new pair, I guess.) They're great for the occasional trail run also. Not my favorite pair of shoes, but they're definitely worth a try.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I was looking for a trainer that would give me some support but not be overly clunky. Unfortunately these did not fit the bill. I have very flat feet but wear custom orthotics and together with the orthotics these were just too much. They felt very big and clunky --like I was wearing a pair of Snooki's slippers. Back they went and I got a pair of Zoom Structures. Much better for me! If you are a bigger runner and need heavy pronation control these might be perfect for you, but would not recommend for a smaller runner looking for moderate support.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I use this shoe for my cross training exercises, and for all of the power walking I do. I also wear this shoe for any activity that requires a lot of walking. I absolutely love this shoe, and I am already on my 5th pair!

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Equalon+ 4 Running Shoe: I had to put off buying a new pair of running shoes, but they kept on performing well even though they were clearly worn. Got a new pair now & ready to ZOOM down the road.
