I've been wearing this shoe for a while and the last version seemed less cushioned than it used to be (or maybe I'm just getting older and feel the road more). I've only put on about 40 miles on the new pair but the cushion seems much softer than the last version. Yes - I like this pair much better then the last.

Have worn different generations of the Pegasus for more than a decade. This is without a doubt the best iteration of this shoe. Light, flexible, extremely well-fitting, smooth transition, excellent-yet-not-too-mushy cushioning. I had given up on the Pegasus with the Peg25, which was entirely too firm, stiff and heavy. Nike really got this one back on track and nailed it with this shoe.

These have greatly improved my running experience. My knees used to hurt after each run, that is no longer the case. I could run every day if I wanted to. They have been amazing and I recommend them, especially for over-pronators.

I am currently on the High School track team, running the 1600 and 200m events. We train daily with various workouts - speed, interval, long distance. This pair of shoes is excellent for all these types of running sessions.

I am heavy Runner (~200 lbs) and a nearly neutral midfootstriker. First i was very sceptical about the changes from the 26, but now after 500 Miles
i am really impressed!. The shoe functions well on short, middle or long runs and the outsole shows some use, but other shoes never reach so much miles by me. Eventually i come to 750 miles with them :).
For that money you get nothing better. It is for me the best running shoe on market!.
Pegasus is now really back..

Great shoe for people looking for a neutral, cushioned trainer with a roomy toebox. My feet are too wide for most D widths, but too narrow for 2E. This definitely makes finding shoes difficult. Pegasus has a snug fit around the midfoot, but has plenty of room in the toebox. Cushioning is firm, not as soft as other trainers in the same class.

For comparisons, I also wear a Brooks Ghost 3 and a Mizuno Wave Rider 13, size 12 in each. I take a size 11.5 in the Pegasus.

I've had several pairs of Pegasus (Pegasi?) before, and have been happy with the fit and midsole design. Can't say the same for this newer model, because of fit and how I run. The fit is at least a half size smaller than previous versions, which were only a half size smaller than usual. So, the same size doesn't fit me well.

Second, they've boosted the rear sole cushioning to a crazy extent, so that if you do any forefoot running you feel like you're falling forward. Additionally, the midsole design causes me to pronate on the forefoot, something the older models didn't do. If you do only backfoot running, the boosted cushioning may be to your liking. The midsole is otherwise stable.

The front is very breathable, which may or may not be a good thing based on personal preference.

Overall: not recommended for forefoot running (even though its categorized under neutral on this website), and order a full size larger than your usual size. Otherwise, for backfoot runners who like the Nike fit, a solid shoe.

I alternate runs with this shoe and a same type, different brand. The Pegasus, being slightly lighter, the change is noticeable and enjoyable.

Is it just me or does this feel just like the Zoom Vomero+4 ?? This feels like the best Pegasus yet -- i.e. as if Nike is returning to their roots where the Pegasus was a great all-round shoe that worked for many types of runners. The cushioning is better than the 26 and the fit feels fast and flexible. It would be great if Nike would not tinker with this model for a few years.

I have been a Pegasus wearer for the past 10 years and each time they change the shoe I am worried that the new model will not work anymore. I have found that for me they have gotten better each time (although at one time I did have 12 pairs of new shoes in my stash). The Pegasus 27 is a full .2 pounds lighter than the 26 (and that was lighter than the previous shoes) and feels as cushioned and responsive as previous models. It fits a little closer to the foot and feels faster. The only negative about the shoe, although slightly better than the 26, is that the grooves in the sole (for flex and weight reduction) tend to collect gravel. Buy them up a half size.

The shape of the upper continues to straighten, leaving those with more curved feet, narrow heels, wider forefeet, high arches to seek a different route. Earlier Pegasus models were excellent values and provided great performance.

Nike Pegasus is great shoe for money. This model is very comfortable. Regular width fits very well on my wide foot. Keeps cushioning even when running many miles. I rotate with Mizuno Wave Rider. I like the Pegasus much better.

I run 5Ks and half marathons, and this is the best shoe for neutral feet that I have found. It is not only lightweight, which is great for road races, but also durable for everyday training. All in all, the Nike Pegasus 27 is your basic, traditional running shoe.

Every time I'm nodding while someone who just found out I'm a runner is reccommending such and such shoe or store, what I'm really thinking is how lucky I am to have found these shoes and to to know that they work for me. I'm ordering a couple extra pair before they're gone, because even though I haven't yet had a problem with subsequent Pegasus generations, knowing you have a new pair of tried and true in the box gives you one less thing to worry about when training for the big race.

I was rotating this shoe with a pair of Saucony Kinvaras and always ended up picking them up. They are not the lightest, but are light enough for training and racing for a casual/recreational runner like myself. Perfect balance between cushion and responsiveness and a great deal for the $.

Was looking for a replacement for my moto 6 the moto 8 was ok for short runs.Was looking for a long run shoe. I think I found it with this shoe. Ran 6 miles in the shoes right out of the box the day I got them in the mail.Just ran 12 miles in these shoes with no problem.Going to order some more. Thats NIKE for a great shoe

I've run in Nike Pegasus for over 10 years and have never been disappointed. Other shoes just don't match the comfort the Pegasus offers, and at a reasonable price. I've used them for 5k, 10k and half marathon races and all the training involved. Currently I'm training for a full marathon with Pegasus and wouldn't change for the world. The only down side is that the toe box is slightly wide for a narrow foot like mine, but even then that hasn't caused any serious problems.
