Comments about Mens Nike Free 3.0 V3 Running Shoe: After logging over 1000 miles in the ASICS® GEL-DS SKY SPEED shoes and going back and forth for a while between these and those I have permanently given up the sky speed for these. I have now run 165 miles in these including long training runs up to 20 miles and my first marathon that I finished in 3:45, as well as a 5 miler that I won my age group in. Make no mistake I have been working on transitioning from heel striker to a natural barefoot kind of gate for 2 years now. I have studied pose running and Chi running. These shoes make that kind of running gate seem natural, I almost don't even have to think about it. This shoe is not for the heel striker. For me it has sealed the deal to complete the transition to a natural gait but still offers enough cushioning so that my feet don't hurt after long runs which was not the case with other minimalist shoes I tried. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because no shoe is perfect.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 3.0 V3 Running Shoe: The new Nike Free 3.0 V3 are a pleasant surprise. I have tried other free models before but never really cared for them. This version seems roomier in the forefoot while still maintaining a snug fit in the midfoot and heel. I have converted to minimalist shoes and these shoes are a good compliment to my Vibram FiveFingers KSO shoes--I wear the V3 for longer road runs. Also, these shoes have replaced my more traditional shoes (excluding basketball shoes) for gym use.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 3.0 V3 Running Shoe: Pretty close to perfect. I switched from the Nike Free Run +, and they are even more light and comfortable than those lightweight racers. Switching from any other shoe to this takes time to get use to ( speed-wise), but very well worth it.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 3.0 V3 Running Shoe: I run 15-20 miles in these shoes, working up to 35 miles a week. Ever since I and ACL rupture and subsequent surgery on my left knee almost 20 years ago, my legs have never felt right. I have tried all kinds of shoes and recently have started moving in the direction of minimalist and/or barefoot running, based on the testimonials I have heard about leg and foot pain subsiding. I started with Asics Gel Hyperspeed 4's and VivoBarefoots, which made things better. I have now moved to Nike Free 3.0 v.3 as my training shoe (and the New Balance MTOO for my true barefoot shoe). Ever since I have started running in these Nike's, my chronic leg/knee/Achilles soreness has disappeared completely. My legs feel fresher than they have in 20 years. I am so convinced that I just bought another 2 pair of the Nikes to have for the next 18 months. I can now run 6-8 miles consistently, and have no limp immediately following the run, nor the hours after, no in the morning when I get out of bed. I was ready to give running up altogether, but now cannot wait until my next run. These shoes have made running no longer the chore that it was, but something to look forward to again.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 3.0 V3 Running Shoe: I love most of the shoe but I run on the outside of my foot and no matter how I tie them that landing on the mid/side of my foot shifts the heel and makes them twist on my foot. If the heel was less stretchy this might not happen.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 3.0 V3 Running Shoe: I run in minimalist shoes, MT10 ect. I have been looking for a shoe with a little more cusion for the longer runs, but with the same flexibility as the MT-10's I like the fit of these, love the flexibility, the heel drop is a bit high, but I still hit forefoot just fine, the only problem is the heel is too loose because of the fabric it is made from, the shoe shifts on my foot because of this.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 3.0 V3 Running Shoe: I've been running in the Nike Free 3.0 v2 for about a year now, and I must say I'm a little sad to see them go. The v3's seem to have gotten more snug in the forefoot, and the "stripes" they added on the sides for support really put pressure on the right side of the forefoot and toes, particularly the pinky toe. If I do get these again, I'm going to go up a half size from my v2 size. The new material on the heel serves to only create a more sloppy heel placement, and I feel as though I have to really tighten the laces to keep my foot in place. If you can find v2s, get them while they last! Here's to hoping they re-release the v2's like they did the lunaracers!

Comments about Mens Nike Free 3.0 V3 Running Shoe: I like these so much I recently got a second pair. They are extremely comfortable, light, and flexible in a way that approximates bare-foot running. I think they are particularly good for training but will likely run 5ks in these as well. Really well thought out shoe from cut out (fabric) heel to integrated tongue and flexible sole. I don't use socks when I run and these are great sockless. Getting half size up worked for me.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 3.0 V3 Running Shoe: These shoes feel great in every way. There is enough cushion that you can run comfortably, but not too much that would make the shoe bulky and heavy. I got the green ones and they look just as good as on the website.
