I am starting to get back into running, after 3 years in graduate school when I rarely worked out. My cousin swore by her Nike's so I did my research. I need a stable shoe and a prefer a cushion when I run. When I first put on the shoe it was a perfect fit, I ordered a regular width and went a size up for swelling when I run. I feel like when I run in these they real absorb the shock and handle the surfaces I run on. I run road and horse trails. The only complaint I have is I feel like I have already run through them in the last 6 months I have them. I only run once a week and wear these running errands on the weekend...I am not sure if this is bad for the shoe. I know they say not to but I love my shoes. I am going to purchase a second pair. I would like to add I switched from the Adidas Super Nova's, which I thought I loved. But these have more support and really help with my over-pronation. Worth the try.

Not a Nike fan, but.....I love 'em!

I just started running this past June; got fitted for shoes at a running shop we patronized when my kids were in track & croos country. Have never been a fan of Nike, but was surprised how good this shoe feels! I have a narrower heel and a medium width forefoot. This shoe had more room in the toebox the other brands I tried, while it is not at all sloppy in the heel. I currently run on asphalt trails, and find that the shoe cushions well while providing very good arch support. I was an avid walker, and while I have mostly trained myself out my pronation issues, this shoe is very stable, although it is not billed as a stability shoe. I don't have to think about my footstrike until I get tired! And so far, I am injury free. I like the shoes so much that I went back to buy another pair; no luck! When I started looking around online, I saw that the shoe has been redesigned and the reviews were not kind! When I found them on Road Runner Sports, I bought a few pair to keep me going.

Good replacement for Nike Equalon 4+

4

I nearly had a heart attack when Nike stopped making the Equalon. They always seem to do that when you find a good shoe and it's popular--go figure. They've done that with the last several makes of stability plus shoes that were AWESOME, says a lot of people. Anyway, when push came to shove thought I'd try the Zoom Structure series, and it's a fairly good substitute. I'm a pretty good pronator, have had knee surgeries, and am a physical therapist. So, to compensate for the lack of pronatory control, I also use orthotics which helps a lot. So now I get the cushioning and control I need. They're comfortable right out of the box (important) and the Nike sole is the most durable I've found. Don't like Lunar Eclipse--too narrow in toe box, esp. if your feet tend to expand with running.

good for pronation

3

After an evaluation at a local running store, they suggested I buy this shoe to help my pronation problem. I can tell that this shoe definitely addresses this issue, however I don't find them to be very comfortable. First of all, they are heavier than your typical running shoe (which is probably due to the extra structure/support the shoe offers). Secondly, the way these shoes lace up puts horrible pressure on the tops of my feet. I try loosening the laces, but then my foot wiggles around too much. This problem may be unique to me, but these shoes are so uncomfortable for me, I think I'm going to buy a different pair, even though I only got these 2 weeks ago. I keep hoping that the problem will be resolved once I break the shoes in a little more, but this doesn't seem to be happening.

So far, so good

4

I've been wearing Brooks Adrenalines for years and love them. But since Brooks will no longer let RRS apply discounts to its shoes (I buy 2-3 pairs of running shoes a year) I thought I'd at least give these shoes, similar in description and $35 less per pair with the discount, a try, and I'm glad I did. These shoes have a little bit stiffer sole and less cushioned run at first than the Adrenalines, but it took only a few minutes into the first couple of runs for them to loosen up and feel comfortable. And the toe box is nice and wide, so hopefully no black toenails when I get to the longer runs. Went for an 8-miler the other day with no problems. We'll see how they last in the long run, but so far, so good.

Fantastic running shoes

5

this is my third pair and I love them. Plantar fasciitis, bunions, heel spur surgery and these fit the best. Perfect find, to be a little wide for my bunions but still fit snug through the heel. I wear them with and without heel inserts (I add superfeet no matter what shoe I buy). I'm a recreational runner these days (100 miles a month) but also use them to walk to (couple of miles) & work out at the gym. Good on all terrain and you can put a lot of quality miles on them before buying new ones. I normally run in size 8's but DEF needed the 8.5's

Super comfortable

5

I never ever thought I would own a pair of Niike's. I had always thought they were too narrow, so when I bought them I bought them in a wide size, however, within 3 hours of wearing them I knew that they were way too big. I had no problems taking them back to the store and getting a regular width size. I sincerely enjoy these shoes. They are the most comfortable pair of running shoes I have ever owned and, have held up quite nicely over the last year; no rips in material, soles holding up with traction intact. My Road Runner custom inserts also fit wonderfully and enhance the comfort of these shoes.

Still a great shoe

5

I workout at the gym 5x per week, cardio, strength, circuit, etc. I also walk outdoors a great deal. I have been wearing these shoes for as long as they have been making them. I trade in new ones every 6 months and rotate between two pair. They aren't gorgeous and they aren't colorful, as is the new fad, but they are workhorses and give great support for my pronation. Service from Road Runner was unbelievably fast. I live in Michigan and they arrived in less than a week. ps. I said it was too small b/c I have to go up at least a size when I buy these.

Best Running Shoe

5

I run on average 35 miles/week. The new version of this shoe, Triax 16 is completely different from the 15. I emailed Nike about it and they agreed it was a different structure. When I tried the 16, I started to have IT band issues. When I went back to the 15, and after getting fitted for new orthotics, the issue went away. I am hoping that Nike will make the old version again but it is highly unlikely. Thanks to Road Runner, I am able to keep running injury free for at least the next 6 months or so until these wear out.

Instant Shin Splits

1

I wore Equalon 4 and loved it--great cushioning and stability--but that series was discontinued. After reading the reviews of this shoe I thought it would be a good fit for me. Upon first trying on it felt great but it runs hard (not a lot of cushion). I typically run 3-5 miles a few days a week and after running just a few times in these shoes my shins were killing me. I went back to my old Equalon 4's and shin splints were gone. I think I need to stick with Stability + so I just ordered Lunar Eclipse +2--Hoping this pair works out!

Pretty Good Shoe

4

I am a cross country runner and run approximately 3-6 miles a day. These shoes have held up great considering how much I put them through. I started wearing these after I got Tendonitis from my Nike Dual Fushions, and I have since had only a few problems with my knee. They have ample support and great pronation control. The only problem I have is that after long runs my feet hurt. Bottom line, these shoes are durable, have very good stability, and are a great shoe to run in.

Favorite shoe

5

This shoe fits me like it was made just for me. Provides a great stable run. i pronate severely and it is perfect. Very nice feel and ride. I have worm structure for 4 years. Hope they bring it back next release. 15 is totally different than the new 16. 15 gives a much better pronation control. Love this shoe. Buying them up in my size since they have been discontinued by Nike. Shame on you Nike for taking away your only stability shoe.

Something's different this year

2

I've been running in the Nike Zoom Structure for the past 4 years and have loved them up until this year's version. The arches are higher than previously and I got blisters on my arches after running just a few miles (tried them two separate times). I've never gotten blisters even with brand new running shoes. It's a bummer because this has been my "go-to" shoes and now I have to find something else. Back to the drawing board...

Love these shoes...like running on air.

5

I am a regular runner (appx 10 miles a week) and started wearing these shoes a couple of years ago. This is my 3rd pair. I know I'm going to have to upgrade on the next pair, since they don't make this version any longer. I do add an athletic support insert that has a higher arch and is more rigid than the insert that comes with the shoes. Otherwise, I love these shoes.

Laces

4

I absolutely love the way these shoes fit. I always buy wide and a size up to allow for swelling and insert. My only problem is the way the shoe laces hit the top of my foot! It puts so much pressure it feels like I'm bruising my foot. I've tried every which way possible to lace up and nothing works. My last resort before I buy a new pair is the squiggly laces that you don't tie.

Finally Found Again!

5

I found these the first time in 2011 in London and have been searching for another pair ever since! After going through several other brands and models in the meantime, I am delighted to be running again in these super supportive sneakers, that make your legs look great, and provide the best structure for overpronators!

My favorite shoe of all time

5

I've run three races in these shoes-two half marathons and a 15k. These shoes have lasted through all three races and five months or so of training. I wore the model before this one, which I also liked. This shoe seems a bit more durable and maybe narrower. In the past I've worn Adidas Supernova, Brooks, Saucony, and Misuno. I always come back to Nike.

Great shoe!!

4

I do a lot of walking, on the treadmill, and on pavement. I walk on average 11 miles a week. These shoes feel great and I have never gotten blisters. They keep the foot stable, and offer good support. I have the insole made from the store, so I use it in both pairs of shoes. Highly recommend the insole, makes a huge difference.

Good shoe for me

4

I have used this shoe for many years. It's stable and cushioned. It has a lower profile and doesn't feel bulky. I have a wide foot so it's one of the few running shoes I have to choose from since it comes in wide widths. I have heard others say Nike is discontinuing this and all stablility shoes. That's disappointing.

Have 3 pairs!

5

I run about 20 miles per week on the road and do the occasional 5k or half marathon and I love these shoes. They were suggested to me during my first visit to Road Runner. I am on my third pair. I know I love the shoe so each time I just buy a new color. I won't switch unless they stop making them!

favorite running shoes!

5

I purchased these shoes at a local running store and loved them. I looked everywhere to find another pair and every place was sold out in my size. I found this website and my shoes got here in just a few days. I love this pair as much as my last. Very comfortable, lots of support and by far the best running shoe I have had!

Not like the Triax +14

1

I thought that I had ordered the +14 running shoe. I was totally disappointed in the +15. There is no positive comparison for me to make for this shoe. The heel depth was shallow and the shoe too wide for the average medium width. However, Customer Service was exceptional and I was satisfied enough by their response to keep trying this site. They promised to make my purchase whole so that I wouldn't lose any money from the order.

OUCH!

1

Have bought the same size for years but this shoe gave me blisters in the first 3 miles! Thought since they were cute, I could use for exercise class> wrong! They can't be worn for exercise either. Called to get a return receipt shipped to me but that has not gotten done. Calling again tomorrow.

Women's Nike Zoom Structure 15

5

These shoes have been great running shoes for me. I tried the newer version and couldn't run in them. Nike removed all of the support in the newer version. Very disappointing! So glad I was able to order these - the 15's? Hope Nike changes them back.

Support without feeling heavy

4

This shoe has great forefoot cushion & support yet still lightweight. It also has a wide toebox which means no black nails or blisters between the toes. My favorite shoe! Watch out for the new model (the 16) it has a very narrow toebox.

Best shoes ever!

These shoes were great for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer #9.3 miles. I wish I could find a new pair. Seems the next generation of this shoe did not have the same toe room. Please bring back this shoe!!!!! Would like more color options.
