i've own the Free run 1, 2, and now the 3, these are the best looking and feeling of them all.
To be honest I only used the first 2 versions for walking shoes. but right now i'm using these for running and the 2s for walking. one thing I will note being a light weight "barefoot" type of shoe it will almost force you to run mid-foot. amazing.

I run in these shoes 4 times a week. My only question is on a low volume shoe like this is how long should they last? Should I expect 300 miles or 600 miles out of them? I have no experience yet but I did replace them after about 300 miles.

This shoe is debatable. It is very lightweight and is comfortable. It has no real padding around the ankle or foot. The material is nice, but it won't last long in mud and cross country running. This is solely just a gym shoe, concrete or grass running shoe. I don't see this as a shoe to kick a ball with or run in harsh conditions. Would ruin and damage the shoe.

The other part is, most size 10's i buy have extra room. These are a bit smaller, a bit narrow, but other than that, once they are broken into, they are great.

I usually run 6 to 8 miles 4 to 5 times per week. These are just for running; i have a seperate pair of shoes for the gym. Very comfy. Very lightweight. Makes me feel like I can run longer than before.

The Nike Free series takes so getting used to. But once you do youll never run in anything else.

I love these nike shoes. The first few days required a adjustment period for my feet, but once I got use to them they felt great.

Nice, light shoes. Had to exchange half a size up to get a good fit. I use them for P90x and P90x+ workouts. Good traction and support for high impact and speed work.

If you are on your feet all day when working (like I am) you will love them like I do! A must buy for runners and even if you walk! Personal Note: make to sure go a half size up from your normal foot size when buying them.

shoes are a little small. I am a size 9.5 true to size, but I always order size 10 on every shoe no matter what. These I ordered in Size 10, they felt like size 9.5. I feel like the next one I order should be size 10.5.

There isn't any real cushioning around the ankles which may pose a problem to some, but not me. It's a real great shoe otherwise. Long as you aren't playing in door soccer in these and get kicked in near the ankle.

Other than that, the shoe is great.

Haven't used out on the pavement yet, but has made a difference on the elyptical; more comfortable.

I rotate a couple of pairs for everyday training and racing. Able to run through the winter conditions with no real problems. Really enjoy the light weight and the ability to feel the road

I use this to run on the treadmill. As a supinator I need a cushioned shoe, so I have been wearing the Nike Vomero as it is a great shoe for my foot, but I couldn't resist trying this shoe because it was on sale. I thought it would be like the web-foot shoes where you're pretty much running bare foot, but it couldn't be more of the opposite! From the first step I noticed a significantly cushioned sole and support to my arch, which I wasn't expeciting with it being a "free run" shoe. It was a little tight so I would suggest getting a half size bigger, nevertheless, it feels great! I may have found a new type of shoe for me. I would highly recommend this shoe!
