Best Uses Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 Running Shoe: I have been wearing Vomero+ shoes for many years. This shoe is a complete redesign. It feels like a pair of Keds with a piece of flat wood applied to the bottom. Absolutely no arch support and no flexibility. I got a blister on the inside of my arch at mile 3 of my run. I felt like my foot was trying to hold onto the shoe at every step. I agree with the reviewer who noted the heel slippage. Since the shoe doesn't flex, your heel is constantly coming up out of the shoe. I've always worn Nike, and am extremely disappointed that I have to switch to another shoe.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 Running Shoe: Super impressed with this shoe! Was deciding between this and the brooks model, and as soon as I put this on, and saw how light weight it was, it blew my mind away! Love the look and feel of this shoe. The most comfortable shoe I have seen in a long time.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 Running Shoe: I have been in love with Nike Vomero and was looking forward to the new light weight invention. I love the color choices and the comfort and performance; but, the heel is too wide. I normally wear size 9, so I tried them in 8.5 and still too loose. Hopefully Nike will correct this mistake. The past models did not have this issue.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 Running Shoe: I anxiously awaited the 8 because the 7 was such a disappointment. I loved the 6s and the 7s were too hard and stiff. 8s are cushioned similar to 6s and more stylish!

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 Running Shoe: I loved my Zoom Vomero 4s and 6s...so ordering the 8s was a no-brainer for me. Turns out, I hated them. After running in them for about a week, I had blisters on my toes that hurt to the point that I could hardly walk. If you loved the cushioning in both the 4 and 6 versions of this shoe, you will be disappointed by the lack of cushioning in the 8s. They are beautiful shoes, but the bottom line is they fall short of my expectations based on previous models. Yesterday, I exchanged these shoes for a another shoe in the neutral + category that felt very similar to my Vomero 6 shoes.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 Running Shoe: I am a RN who spends 12 hours a day on her feet. I began having severe pain from heel spurs around 5 years ago. It was to the point I was limping and avoided being on my feet. I went in to see my Dr. and he told me to go in to Road Runner to see what they recommend for me. They recommended a neautral shoe and I loved the way the Vomero felt it had the most cushion and comfort. I strarted wearing the vomeros around 5 years ago. The pain completely went away and I have been wearing them ever since. I had some difficlty with the older versions wearing out in certain spots but they seem to have worked that out with the newer versions.

Best Uses Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 Running Shoe: I loved my Zoom Vomero 4s, and 6s...wore each pair for 12-18 months without any issues. Typically my runs last between 3-7 miles, both treadmill and trail running. I bought the Zoom Vomero 8s based on the excellent review I read on this site, and my feet are paying the price. This version lacks the cushioning and stability I loved in the 4s and 6s. I will be bringing these back and trading them in for something else.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 Running Shoe: This is the brand I usually wear but the 8's feel too wide in the heel and toe box. I feel "clunky" in the shoe.

Comments about Womens Nike Zoom Vomero+ 8 Running Shoe: I loved the Vomero+6 and have been in Brooks' Glycerin for the last year or so, with no complaints with the Brooks. I pre-ordered the Vomero+8 and wanted to love it at least as much as I did previous models (have run in the 3, 4, and 6 models--3 and 6 were my favorites). The ZV was the first shoe I ever wore for a half marathon in which I never felt any quirks, hotspots, etc., with shoes, feet, knees, hips. (A shoe doesn't get better than that!). The new ZV+8 glove fit is wonderful. I have wide feet (wear women's 8, D width) and high arches, and was concerned that the new snug construction might result in too little room in the midfoot and toe box. No problem; felt GREAT. The cushioning also felt exceptional and improved, expecially under the heel. Basically I very much liked the 8's except for one issue that unfortunately was significant enough for me to send the shoes back: heel slippage, which was never an issue in previous ZV models or the Glycerin (all of which fit snugly in the heel). To correct the slippage I tried relacing the shoes and wearing slightly heavier socks than I usually wear. A quick jaunt on the treadmill in which I could feel the up and down movement in the back of the shoe convinced me (sadly) that these are not going to work for me. A smaller size would be too short. I spoke with customer service and there have been changes in the heel construction for the ZV+8 model but no one else seems to have had a problem with the heel fit. Maybe this is peculiar only with the wide width shoe (or maybe I just have funny feet!). Will try again when the +9s come out. I have loved the Zoom Vomero in the past and except for the heel fit, I found the changes to be good ones. But for the heel problem, chances are the rating would be 5 stars instead of 3.
