I love the this shoe. Perhaps my favorite shoe of all time. I ran approximately 200 mostly trail miles on my first pair before moving them to road use in my speed workouts. I also train on the road in the Zoom Elite 6, but I am now using those more for my easy days on the road. I am now on my second pair of Kigers and will likely keep the trail to road rotation going. I would love to see a road version of the Terra Kiger (Same upper, same midsole, different rubber on bottom). Just the right fit for me. Just the right heel toe drop. Just the right amount of flexibility. Just right. A road version would also make an excellent long race shoe because of the relatively low weight. Durability could be improved, but with my trail to road rotation, I should get my typical 300-350 miles.

This shoe feels like a combination of different Nike shoes: it fits like the Nike Free (very snug, be SURE to get 1/2 size up), it has the soft, cushion-y response of the Nike Lunar Glide, and the grip of Nike's previous trail shoes.
It's an awesome shoe, and glad I took the risk.
The best advice I can give is this: this is a light-weight trail shoe, and does an awesome job at what it is. But, for those seeking something to withstand really tough conditions, best to look at something more meatier.
I have been an avid New Balance minimal trail shoe fan; MT110 and MT1010. My only complaint was they didn't handle courses with any significant road sections.
I just finished a 25km race in the Kiger that was a mix of asphalt, gravel, grass, and single track. They handled every variation wonderfully.
The fit is snug but not restrictive. The cushioning is adequate, even for road sections, but not intrusive.
I will definitely get another pair of these as they match the trail conditions here wonderfully.
Fast and nimble
Overall a nice fast and nimble trail shoe, but be prepared that it isn't really great on tough/rocky terrain. It is soft and minimalist so fun for fast trail runs on soft ground. Took some getting used to the minimalist heel drop so ease into them if you are used to running in more built up shoes, or you might get some aches- I had some IT band issues that went away after I mixed them in more slowly.
To even use the word "rugged" in the description of this shoe is hyperbole. There's no heel protection or support, and while the shoe is very comfortable (like a bedroom slipper), I cannot see it offering any protection or durability whatsoever as a trailrunning shoe. It is essentially a thick soled bedroom shoe.
Great but not compatible with Nike Free.
I bought these as a work sneaker, decided to test on a run as well. I usually run in Nike Free. these, while being a nice shoe, react very differently. you don't feel the terrain as much, and caused some cramping. still a great all around shoe.
Very comfortable with zero durability
Don't buy these shoes. They simply won't last. The tread began separating after only 3 trail runs. These shows just aren't built rugged enough.

By far my favorite shoe yet I gave it a 4 of 5 but really I'd say 4.5
