I wore the Nike Air Zoom Structure+ 15, size 11.5 for the last 2-3 years. I had 3 pairs which I rotated so as to extend their lifespan... I run distance, up to Half Marathon. I have run 3 full Marathons. These are my training shoes.
Well, I was weary of ordering this update due to comments about size. In my case, the new updated +17 model fit me great a half size larger, size 12. Fortunately, I guessed right...!
I am happy with the upgrade. They are comfortable, seem lighter, and might even be my choice for a full marathon. As others may have mentioned, the better feel and weight may come at the cost of more rapid wear... They are probably effective for about 600 miles tops. Fine by me. I value comfort and injury free shoes over durability.
Bring back Structure 15!!
I'm 5'10...200 pounds...love the gym and running. I have very little to no arch. I was a long time Asics guy (10+ years with the Kayano line). I switched to the Nike Structure 15 before beginning training for my first marathon...LOVED them. Best shoes I ever had. Ran two more marathons in the Structure 15s (new pair each time). I was excited to try the 17's when they came out. I was very disappointed. Shoes fit fine...not the as much support as the 15's. They wore out before I finished training for the marathon...and I was rotating them with a pair of the 15's (I'm guessing about 200 miles). I was able to find one more pair of the 15's at RR before they went extinct. I would not recommend these shoes. Bring back the 15's.
I like it
I have used the structure triax for many years. As with any change in model, there were concerns about what changed with the shoe. This shoe seems a little more snug than the 16 (and previous versions). I have been using both a regular and wide width to see which I like better. The regular feels a little snug, but they might loosen over time. The wide is less snug, but I use two pair of light socks to add cushioning. This shoe is a little heavier than the 16 (I weighed them), but by less than an ounce. I use it with orthotics, and mine still fit. I think the next big change is with the 18, which is out already. I may stock up on 17s while I can.

Not so good
I have been using Nike Zoom Structure exclusively for the past 5 years, and ordered this shoe in the exact same size/width as the last 2 pairs, which I still have. This shoe was not only too short and narrow, but it was so incredibly stiff that it was very uncomfortable and almost difficult to run in.
My typical run is about 6 miles (25-30 mile/wk). I am a heavy runner and a slight overpronator but these shoes were just too much motion control for me.
I returned them for an alternate shoe that has a little more flexibility and have been happy so far. The exchange process was incredibly easy even though I had already run in the Nikes.
Best of class for stability
I can't recall ever posting an online product review, but when I saw the low star average for these, I had to chime in. I'm a new/beginning runner with low-flat arches, and am very difficult to fit. I've been through the RR fit process more than once, taken other shoes in this category home and ended up returning them and coming back to these on more than one occasion. I can't say enough good things about the fit, feel, ride and durability of these.
Nikes big mistake
I have been wearing the structure line for 10+ years . Nike should have just let this shoe alone. It wore out extremely fast. Sole came apart after 2 months. They also took the support this shoe used to give away
Structure line keeps improving. These are more breathable and lighter than the 16 series. Looking forward to another 26.2 in these.
Wow. No more orthotics. Yes! Buy them 1/2 size up and you wont be disappointed
Nike Zoom Structure +17, Great shoe!
This is my 4th pair of Structure +17, keep up the good work Nike!
