Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens Nike Free 5.0 Running Shoe: I run a few miles a day and these shoes are exactly what I needed. They are super comfortable and they look very nice. I usually fluctuate between an 11.5 and 12 so I went for a size 12 and am happy with my choice.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 5.0 Running Shoe: Roadrunner told me to order a half-size larger but that turned out too narrow. Had to order full-size larger for proper fit at same pricing. However, had to pay to return the smaller size. Not sure about ordering shoe product for first time online.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 5.0 Running Shoe: Great shoe for low impact exercise not enough cushion for long runs for me. Added bonus they look great with jeans.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 5.0 Running Shoe: I am a big guy who runs heavy mileage. These provide surprising support and comfort while remaining lightweight. I ran for years in heavier motion control shoes, scared to try something different. Now I am wondering why i waited

Comments about Mens Nike Free 5.0 Running Shoe: I've had a series of Nike Free shoes over the years, most recently a few generations of Free Run+. These Nike Free 5.0 are equivalent to them in support. I like the new hexagonal sole design. They are quite flexible and light, with just enough cushion. I have a neutral foot, so like the flexibility. These fit very well, and look great too. I think the sole design, which is curved up just a bit at the heel, encourages a more mid-foot strike.
Comments about Mens Nike Free 5.0 Running Shoe: I bought these for my son who uses them while coaching and refereeing soccer. This is his 3rd pair. Really likes them - he did mention the fit is a bit strange and takes getting used to.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Mens Nike Free 5.0 Running Shoe: Tried this bc it is so much lighter than the Nike Vomeros I've been training in. Nursing Achilles injury, thought that the whole "Free" concept would help me change my foot strike and take some stress off of it. (Buzzer noise). Ran for an hour on day one in a park on paved paths, grass fields, and dirt paths. Felt light. Made it 5 miles on day two before my Achilles hurt too much to keep going. Probably would've had better results if I wasn't hurt. Won't go back to them until after I'm healed up.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 5.0 Running Shoe: Currently using vomeros for long runs. Wanted a shoe that fits similar but is lighter. Think this one hit nail on head. A little narrow it seems against the side of big toe. Otherwise it's a great feel of a shoe. Traction is good. Flexible. Light. If the drop was 4mm less I would give it five stars.

Comments about Mens Nike Free 5.0 Running Shoe: I usually run in a 3.0v4. I chose these after trying the brooks pure model line and disliked those, they gave me shin issues after a few runs. Went back to nikes and always have great luck with these, picked up the new 5.0 to start my marathon training, they're perfect to train in and put down some extra miles over the 3.0 without injuries. I would say if your a minimalist runner but want some extra cushion these are the ticket. Ill still race in my 3.0 but anything over a 10 mile run ill be throwing these on with no ill effects to my natural gait in the 3.0. Great shoe, nailed it again Nike thank you!
