Good Multi Sport Use

I bought these shoes to use during softball games a few nights a week. While normal cleats provide good grip they are typically uncomfortable, and turf or normal running shoes do not provide enough grip when playing outfield or running the bases. These shoes are the perfect compromise. The grip is excellent; I have had no issues slipping in wet grass or in dry clay. And the cushion level is outstanding.

My only minor gripe is that they are not totally waterproof. During very late or very early games when dew is an issue the shoes do not keep out all of the moisture when running around in the grass. As I do not play in wet conditions very often this is not a big deal for me.

I do not do any trail running but with the grip and cushioning these provide I think they would make an excellent trail shoe, however do not expect them to keep your feet perfectly dry when running in wet or muddy environments.

Solid Shoe - Replacing my Lunarflys

        I purchased the Wildhorse 2's to replace my Nike Lunarflys for both trail and treadmill running. I'm an avid obstacle course/mud-run guy so a stable shoe with good traction, but lightweight is really important.

        These shoes are good for those that need a wide toe-box but also want to avoid the rubbing that comes from tall heels in some running shoes. So, you get plenty of width in the toe but low ankle height for maximum flexibility. The toe box, while wide enough is a bit shallow so the top you can feel the top of the shoe on the top of your toes. While this is unusual for me it doesn't present any uncomfortable rubbing.

        Overall I'm pretty pleased with the shoes. Stable fit on the steeps and a confident feel when defending.
