I used these shoes a couple years ago and here's the jist...they are SUPER comfortable and the forefoot cushioning is fabulous. The Shox (heel) cushioning is very firm, but it's there. It takes some getting used to. However, these shoes increased my pace without any extra effort. There's something to say about that.

5'9" 155 lbs, high arch, like soft shoes. bought these at RRS b/c cheap price. ran in once on track x 4 miles. not soft. felt like concrete strapped to my feet. sent back. but they're a good buy.

I'm on my 7th pair of Shox (6 of them 2:45's). I love them & like someone else said, I dread the day I can't get them anymore. I'm a 200+ lb runner who runs every day, and the comfort can't be beaten. Even as someone who "needs" a stability shoe for over-pronation, these shoes are great when I've added off-the-shelf orthotics from either Spenco or Sorbothane (though the soles wear a bit quicker when my gait gets "corrected"). There may be someone out there for whom these don't work well, but it sure isn't me!! I'm buying another pair soon!

I am on my 7th pair of Shox 2:45 shoes and dread the day when I cannot get them. I run 45-50 miles per week including one 13-14 mile long run in them each week. They are a great shoe for neutral pronators and have great cushioning all at around 11 ounces. They are by far the favorite training shoe that I have found.

Not a bad shoe and for a good price too. I workout in them three times a week and they have lasted me a good year.

Great shoes! They keep your feet going for longer than you would think. I disagree with anyone who says these shoes are tireing to your feet. Without my pair of these I would have tired out of more than one run.

Nice shoe and you can't beat the discount price. Don't be swayed by the posting of 3 of the same negative reviews.

I disagree strongly with the assesment of the one other reviewer (that apparently needed to hit the submit button three times). I bought a pair of 2:45s earlier this year and did wear them for both training and then running the Vancouver International Marathon. I found them to be more than comfortable and sufficient in the areas of stability, cushioning, and width. I am a long distance runner and would purchase them again without question.

I'm was planning to use this shoes for my NYC Marathon, but develop pain around the ankles due to the shoe's narrow width. This shoes is not for long distance running.
