Comments about Womens Nike Shox Cognescenti Running Shoe:

I went through 5 pairs of these shoes in a year. They weren't bad but by the 5th pair I was starting to get tarsal tunnel in my right foot. They don't work well with orthotics either which I had. I had some good races in them but the cumulative effect of the shoe with limited support in the midfoot and in the front of the shoe will cause problems over time. They look great though!

Comments about Womens Nike Shox Cognescenti Running Shoe:

I generally like the Shox Cognescenti. As a larger runner (6'4" and 210) I would like a little bit more cushioning. But I do appreciate the larger strike surface on the heel of the shoe. The prior Shox versions wear out far too quickly for me since I supinate. But the shoe performed very well for me in a recent 4 mile race.

Comments about Womens Nike Shox Cognescenti Running Shoe:

As a long time Peg fan I figured that with some newfound money I could upgrade to a new shoe. BIG MISTAKE. These shoes are death to your legs. I can't break the 20 minute barrier in these shoes and would run for an hour in my old Pegs. Stay away, at all costs.

Comments about Womens Nike Shox Cognescenti Running Shoe:

As far as running shoes, I was never a big Nike fan until the Shox Cogs. A great shoe right out of the box! The fit was snug, yet very comfortable--like a sock. If you need good cushioning in a shoe, this is a great one. They look cool too!

Comments about Womens Nike Shox Cognescenti Running Shoe:

I'm 43 yrs, 6' 0", 175 lbs. under-pronator, medium arch. I started running again 2 years ago, after 25 years out of High School track. I just received my Nike Cogs. Out of the box, the shoe looked and felt solid and fit well. I ran 4 miles in them the first day. The first thing I noticed was that I had to adjust my stride slightly. It felt like I was running on an eliptical machine. In the third mile they felt a little heavy. I scuffed my feet a few times. At the end of my run I could feel the muscles in my legs got a workout, but it felt good. The cushioning was good. I've been troubled by shin splints and knee aches this year and these shoes were not a problem. They actually made my shins feel better after the run. I run 6 miles tomorrow, so this will be a good test after today's rest. I'll update again after a few more miles on them.
