Product Description:

Men's NIKE AIR ZOOM KATANA RACER II :: It could be the phrase "light on your feet" started with this running shoe. The men's Nike Air Zoom Katana Racer is the ultimate in lightweight, performance road racing running shoes. 5K, 10K, all the way up to marathon, this is your shoe. The feather-light performance mesh upper and the reinforced TPU welding gives you support from midfoot to heel without dragging your feet. Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Katana Racer II Racing Shoe:

Perfect lightweight running and racing shoe. Fits like a glove and light as a feather. Started tarining in these full time last year and have never looked back. Unfortunately, I can only get about 240 miles out of each pair, so they only last me about a month each. Now, they are nowhere to be found. I'd but 10 pairs right now if I could find them. They are that good.

Nice Fit! Unsure about the distance I would race in in these due to a moderate amount of cushioning. Nice looking. Feel good. When I wear these, if you and I played tag, you'd be it FOREVER!

Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Katana Racer II Racing Shoe:

Good racing flat, but it's seriously lacking in the cuch department, so I wouldn't use it for more than 5k, despite what it says to use it for. However, it works great for track, to be perfectly honest. I've done some great 1500m races and faster workouts in these. The only problem when taking these to the roads is that your knees are going to pay for it. Still a great fit though, very responsive.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Katana Racer II Racing Shoe:

This is a great shoe in that it is light and comfortable. It loses a star for having the worst tread durability of any shoe in my 27-year career. It loses another for the cost. There is no way Nike should be asking this much for this shoe, especially since it is not designed to last more than a handful of races.

Perfect Shoe. I use it for training and racing. I have about 250 miles on one pair and they are still going strong with extremely little wear. I'm about 175lbs. The only complaint I have is cost. I run in these up to marathon distance.

Maybe 4.6 in rating, I'll give it a 5. I know it is good on the roads and on the track. Wonderful upper. The bottom is easily as good as any Asics racing flat. I don't think they're overpriced, unless you're planning on using them as a racing flat.

Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Katana Racer II Racing Shoe:

I am rating this shoe for the following personal reason. We all have different biomechanics. I was measured and examined for stability runners shoe type. I relied on the machine that calls for the principle and type of runner I am. I've had some serious injury (Shin splints and ITB -pain outside my knee syndrome) despite 10 to 20 minutes warm up. Well, I am not about to quit from what we all enjoy...running. I am currently 160 LBS and I run 5 days a week, 6 to 10 miles a day for training. I decided to used this shoe because it is a "less shoe". It has some cushioning but its a light weight. My foot works normally and my knee pain and shin splints don't bother me anymore. Its comfortable on my 2E wide feet and I don't feel dragging my foot anymore. After 10 years of running I am convinced to rate this shoe a five star only beause the foot machine that told me how my foot works was wrong. Words of Wisdom: "this shoe will make your gait normally works".

I think this is an awesome shoe, it has a good feel, very comfortable, and its extremely light. My last 4 pairs of shoes were the Nike Free 5.0 and that was a great lightweight shoe except for the durability isue, and then my friend pointed the katana out to me and i saw the light weight and i had to go for it all in all it Nike did a wonderful job the katana offers good support light weight and has a good performance, but just like the free for a high price these shoes only last around 400 miles but i think its well worth the price

Comments about Mens Nike Air Zoom Katana Racer II Racing Shoe:

I would give this one 5 stars, except for the durability issue. For $100 bucks, I was disappointed to find that the nice aggressive treads on the front wore down to the plastic after only 80 miles or so. If this problem is fixed in the next release, I will buy 10 pairs. They are otherwise hands down the best shoe I have run in.

This is a great fitting racer. I have wide feet and the Katana Racer fits well. Could be 4 or 5 star shoe but for the high cost!!
