Comments about Womens Nike 2" SW Rival Lined Shorts: I didn't actually purchase these for running - I like a slightly longer short for running so the 4" version of this short is perfect. I purchased the 2" version as I wanted something shorter for water sports (SUP, kayaking), volleyball, and running around town. I love the pockets! The slit pocket in the front is the perfect size for a tube of lip balm/Chapstick (serious essential)AND an iPod shuffle, and the back zip pocket is the perfect size for an ID and credit card and a $20 bill, or, skip all of the above, and stash a gel packet. (It's stretchy enough that you could probably cram in the ID and whatnot along with a gel packet, but it might get a little uncomfortable.) I also discovered a slit pocket in the back waistband of the shorts! Not sure if this pocket is supposed to be there, but I like having the option of putting my iPod shuffle in the back and leaving that front pocket free. The wide waistband is super comfortable, as are the built-in undies. I went a size up (Medium) for comfort and flexibility, and could not be happier with these. The Small would have fit fine, but these shorts keep a low-enough profile that the Mediums looked great and felt great - no balloon hips or bagginess. Purchasing in more colors to last through the summer and beyond. FYI, the Fire Red is a very bright red, but a fun pop of color.
