I bought these shorts for my long runs in the Texas sun. I am a size 2 and thought that the small size will surely be a good fit. All the other Nike brand shorts that I buy are size small. The pair fit too big. I gifted them to my cousin that wears a size 4/6. They fit her perfect. Make sure you order the XS if you are size 2.

The shorts are comfortable and great for running. My favorite Nike shorts so far! My only problem with the shorts are that the size pockets are too shallow to hold anything. Despite that, I like the style of the shorts.

I recently wore these shorts for a 50k and although they were drenched by the end of the run since it was so hot and humid, they still felt lightweight and I had zero chaffing. The only drawback to these shorts is the lack of a zipper pocket in the back. If they had a zipper pocket, they would be perfect. I know the 2" rivals do have the zipper pocket but I prefer the length of the 4".

I like a slightly longer short for running so the 4" version of this short works great. I do like my back zip pockets though, and these shorts are lacking. They do have side slash pockets for putting your hands in and whistling about town. But the material is thin and the shorts baggy so that anything I would put in the side pockets would just bang around and hit me in the leg. These shorts do have a front slit pocket built into the waistband for stashing a tube of lip balm and an iPod shuffle, and, without those items, MAYBE enough space to squish in a gel packet. The wide waistband is super comfortable, as are the built-in undies. I went a size up (Medium) for comfort and flexibility and to avoid that "great, my thighs just ate my shorts" effect that sometimes happens with other running shorts. I recommend these for shorter runs where you don't need to stash much, or have an alternate mode of storage.

Really like the fit and length of these shorts- love the wide and flattering waistband. The only thing I do not like is that there are side pockets that cause the shorts to slightly flair out-otherwise they would be perfect! I decided to keep them anyway-looking forward to running in them as soon as it heats up again.
