        I prefer compression shorts rather than briefs. I have a couple pairs of RR brand shorts with briefs liners & I don't care for them, especially on longer runs. I picked two pair of these up and I really love them. They are far more comfortable & keep everything in place without riding up into my crotch. No mid-run adjustments, which can look awkward when passing people on the road!

        I gave these 4 stars because the compression shorts are a little short and they do not provide as much compression as I like. They are still tight enough to avoid shifting, but they are more like boxer briefs than compression shorts. Also, if you run with anything heavier than a set of keys or a gel pack in the back pocket, which is centered in the rear, they tend to ride down & you will be showing off some plumbers crack.

        The 2-in-1 concept is great if you want compression without showing off everything. But the compression short in these is really too short (~4" inseam) to offer sufficient coverage of your quads or hamstrings. If you really want compression, go longer. If you want short-shorts, go with onion-skins.

        PS - The olive looks grey on the website, but is really green.
