      Montrail has created the best trial shoe with the Masochist. Large toe box with great toe protection, snug mid-foot and heel. Very comfortable tongue with ample padding. Great traction and stability on the trails. So-so on the pavement, but it excels on dirt. Good cushion but still provides a "feel" of the ground.

        Great shoe for trails and gravel road. I prefer running in these shoes over my Asics trail shoes. I used them on a 100k gravel road race for the entire race and did not have any issues while others complained of taking a beating on the gravel.
