I am training for my third marathon and I have grown tired of running loops around my house so I can have water at the end of my driveway. I did some research and this water bottle came up. I thought I would want a bigger size, but then I read it can be tiring to carry more water than this.
This ended up being perfect! You don't even have to grip it, it just stays in your hand. The only issue I had was when I ran when it was 5 degrees out and it froze. Kind of expected it though! The only (other) thing that messes with me is that sometimes it squirts out into my mouth and the force causes the water to bounce back out of my mouth onto my face/shirt...which might not be bad in summertime, but it's winter time here! Over all, two thumbs up!

I bought this at a buddies suggestion for the half marathon's we run. The pocket on the front holds 1-2 gel packs and is easy to access during the run. I can get a drink whenever I want and not just at water stops. Plus it all goes in my mouth instead of everywhere else and I don't have to try and grab it from a volunteer. I've only used it during 1 race so far, but I've used it during training runs just to get use to carrying it. Switching from hand to hand is pretty easy also. Hope this helps!

I purchased this at a brick & mortar store. I was dubious, because I feared the extra weight in one hand and the inevitable sweaty palm. My fears were grossly misplaced.

I love this thing, and I can't imagine running without it. A few races ago, I tried relying on the on-course water instead of bringing my own. It was not a good choice for me, but I wanted to get rid of my race belt because it was never as comfortble as I'd hoped it would be.

The pocket is small, but I can squeeze my Blackberry Z10 and insurance card in it. Without the phone, it holds keys and gel sachets without a problem. The grip is very comfortable. Yes, my palm gets really sweaty, but it's worth it. And the weight on one arm hasn't thrown off my arm swing or tweaked my back as I'd feared it would.

One commenter lamented the lack of a hook to put keys on it. A person could loop the adjustment strap through a key ring, or some other part of the strap. I haven't, because I don't want to listen to my keys jangle throughout my workout. All my shorts & running skirts have a pocket that's the perfect size for vehicle keys, so this hasn't been an issue for me.

The only thing I dislike - and this has NOTHING to do with the design of the product - is pushing buttons on my Garmin is awkward. (I wear the Garmin on my right hand and the hydration bottle on my left.) The best answer is to just ignore the Garmin and do the workout, but there have been times I need to adjust the display. I end up taking the bottle off my hand to interface with the Garmin.

Bottom line: this thing was a game-changer for me. No more waist belts!

Recently used for a half marathon. Held 5 GU packs perfectly without being too heavy. It can be adjusted, but would help if tighter.

This is easy to hold filled up w/ 18oz of water/Gatorade. The pocket is a great size for phone (which would make this heavier to hold). I do use pocket for gu packs. What's missing is a key clip of some sort. There is NO WHERE you can safely hook your house/car key to this. I was shocked that Nathan missed this. Other than that, it is the most comfortable larger hand held water carrier. Nathan got that right.

Great for the thirsty runner and for long runs as it holds more liquid than the regular hand-held. Nice sized pouch on the front, too. Ergonomic. Pouch comes off easily for washing. The negative is that it's heavy because it is larger and holds more liquid. Does not keep liquids colder as promised in the summer, but I am happy with my purchase and would recommend.
