These shoes are a JOY to run in. I feel like they were made just for me. I needed no period of adjustment. I'm 48 years old, 5'2", 105 lb, medium arch forefoot striker. Average 30-35 miles per week. Can't wait to lace them up (even the laces are great).

I am actually bummed that I love these shoes as much as I do because they are unconscionably expensive. I decided to try them to see if they might infuse some new inspiration into my running at a time when I was lagging. And they totally did! I have felt lighter and faster in them and have really noticed a difference, although it's hard to explain exactly what they feel like. In an effort to save money, I ordered some tried and true Asics, which I ran in for years before trying Newtons, only to find that they felt clunky and miserable. So I just bought my second pair of Newtons. Anyone want to buy my barely used pair of Asics? Newtons are light, agile, and they enforce good form. I'm afraid there's no going back. sigh.

I am on week 5 of running with shoes, still getting calf pain while running. However the fit on my wide foot is outstanding, the only shoe that does not give me blisters!

Thank you so much for carrying these shoes. Over the past two years I have been running with hip, hamstring and metatarsal pain. After running in the Newtons for 2 weeks I am now running pain free. These shoes are awesome!!!

I tried pretty much every brand before finally trying Newton. Every shoe I used gave me horrible pain in the ball of my feet after mile 6...xcept these! I've run 4 maratons in 2 years with these Newtons and It's the first time I've been able to finish a marathon pain-free. I love them BUT they are NOT for everyone .I'm a midfoot striker and these shoes are made especially for mid to forefoot strikers. I wouldn't recommend buying the shoes to change the way you strike, but if you;re already a midfoot runner....you gotta try these!!!!

Newtons have changed my running in a very positive way. It took 3-4 weeks of running in them, and then it clicked--I was running faster and lighter on my feet than ever before. I have been running in them for 4 months now and have cut 30-45 seconds off per mile. I ran a PR in a recent 5K. I can't imagine changing back to another brand. If only they $ amount wasn't so much (but well worth it in my opinon).

Hmmm, all I have to say is BE CAREFUL! BE VERY CAREFUL! Work on your form, don't let the company "fix" a problem for you. I have been trying (and I do mean trying) to run in these shoes for a whole month now. Most people complained about their calfs hurting but it was the ball of my feet that would hurt. I have to admit though that I do love the light and airy style of this shoe. But it looks like I am going to have to give them up and buy something else. Man, and they were EXPENSIVE!!!
