        I can't say enough about the Distance U. I have worn Newtons in the past, first the women's Distance model about 6 years ago (way too narrow for me), and then the 2011 men's Distance model, which I really liked. I had to wear the men's model because the women's were just too narrow. This new update has taken into account that not everyone has a super narrow foot, and I can comfortably wear the women's model. The 2012 model is hands down better than the 2011 Distance, with more stability (without being too much, I am not a fan of stability shoes) which leads to no wasted side to side motion. They are very comfortable, extremely lightweight, and last but not least the colors on the shoe are gorgeous. I wear an 8 1/2 street shoe, 9 running shoe, and the 9's in these were plenty big for me. Highly recommended!

          I LOVE this shoe! I am training for a marathon and I use the shoe for ALL of my rus now! They are pricey but worth every dollar. No blisters, easy running shoe tat feels like I am gliding, better run time...just all around great shoe. I don't plan to ever run in another brand!

          I finally found a shoe that does not hurt. In fact, it feels good and I again enjoy running. Have been trying different shoes for a few years-some w/stability which I need a bit (hate most of these shoes--way too built up, hurt my knees and hips), have tried some "barefoot" styles (not enough for my fallen arch, foot issues). I actually tried the Newton Lady Isaac two years ago and did not love it. I don't know if it was because of the fit, style or my pre-morton's neuroma, but it did not work for me. Finally, these shoes are great. So comfortable, light yet stable, place me in good alignment. I did replace the shoe's insoles with some inexpensive ones-Profoot 20z Miracle-they are great. Thanks RRS for accepting a few returns! I have finally found my shoe. I don't mind the extra expense as Newton seems to put alot of thought into these and uses quality materials. I Usually go for black shoes but I love these colors!!!!!
