    I feel like a grasshopper when I run in these! Awesome, lightweight construction on a shoe which supports a mid-foot striker. It takes some getting used to after wearing ASICS with the built-up heels - almost feel like I'm wearing Earth Shoes or Skechers. Instead the build-up is in the forefoot where many of us actually strike the pavement. I run about 25 miles per week mostly on city streets and have run the gamut of foot, knee, arch, and hip problems. These take the pressure off my hips, saving my energy for the run instead of the pain.

            I am still in the manufacturer's recommended break in period to adjust to the new sole configuration but after 6 short runs (about 1.5 miles each) I really like them. The change in my running form has really helped with heel concussion. I move up to 2 miles tomorrow and am looking forward to running a 5k in them on 5/5.

              Have found that Lady Issac is the best Newton for me due to stability. Been running in these for 2 years.
              RR has not been clear about availability on these shoes... contacted Newton and new Lady Issac S coming out in May. Not sure if RR is selling out the last of these white/teal shoes even though the description is new???
              I really want to order these again but always on backorder or emailed discontinued?????

              When I would get tired during training, my college coach would yell all the adjustments I needed to make to my form in order to become more efficient, run faster and feel less tired. It's been many many years since I've had a coach, yet when I wear these Newtons, it's as if my form is awakened and I come alive! I. Run. Fast! And ooooh that feels good!

              Beware of sore calves and achilles post workout. Compression sleeves are a must for recovery for new Newton runners!
