    At first I was very hesitant about these shoes and went back and forth about purchasing them. Then I had to decide which model to buy. I wore the Mizuno Prophecy line for the past year or so but wanted something natural to control my stride, better my time, and most of all hold up on long runs. The shoes are very lightweight and "different" looking. I was a bit discouraged at first wondering how they could ever be comfortable. I chose the gravity over the distance because the heel is a bit more reinforced and I felt I needed that while transitioning from a regular running shoe. The first couple times I ran on them the ball of my feet hurt and I had blisters but once I didn't pay attention to where I was placing my feet and unconsciously ran the issues went away. I let my body do what it wanted. My time improved and I felt better than I have in years!! My best piece of advice is to not give up after a couple of workouts continue breaking them in. I found I really love them and am thinking of getting the distance next!!

    My running has greatly improved since I switched to my Newtons. I run at least 30 seconds faster per mile since the switch from my old shoes. I have always worn stability or motion control shoes and with the Newtons I went with the neutral shoes. With the Shoe Dog insert I have had zero problems. I have been running pretty much injury free for hundreds of miles. My first pair only lasted about 350 miles which I'm not crazy about due to the price. However, all the other reviews I read said that this is only the case for the first pair and subsequent pairs last a lot longer... we will see~
