Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: I like the fit and feel. However, this is my first time running with Newtons. I did one run in them - about 6 miles - and had some ankle and foot issues later in the day. Because I have a race coming up, I'm not risking using them more. So, time will tell how much I like them. But I will warn others to take the transition slow.

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: Best shoe for triathlon (iron distance); off the bike, eases the "hotspots" on the metatarsals; for marathons or ultras, there are better shoes, but each tool for a different purpose ...

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: Buy a half size up from your previous Newton shoes. Other than that, they will fit and feel the same (which is awesome).

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: After running in Newtons for 3 years, I was a bit bummed with their ability to handle even the light trails around my place in Bend, OR (I was partially tearing off the lugs), so I tried a few different shoes with the hope of replacing my Newtons. Needless to say, I returned to Newton, as they're fast and comfortable shoes for runs (for me) up to 10 miles. I'm a 6'4", 175 lb. triathlete, so I'm not a fly weight road runner. After minimal adaptation (sore calves), these shoes have helped me stay healthy and get faster (they don't seem to like to go much over 7'/mile pace).

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: I usually wear a 10.5 in Newton shoes, including the last model of the Distance. Needed an 11 this time as the show is just a bit more narrow. I just put 50 miles on them last week and they're up to par with everything Newton makes. Great shoe.

Best Uses Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: I wanted to try these shoes because I had a coupon, they are expensive, and I've heard great things about them. But the big chunky tread at the front of the foot was uncomfortable for me. I consider myself a midfoot striker and after a 6-8 mile run these really started to hurt my feet, especially the balls of my feet, even though I do not land on the balls of my feet. My legs and knees were more sore than usual too. I returned these for another pair of Brooks PureFlows which I've ran a marathon and two halves in.

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: I sue this shoe for my runs over 8 miles the extra cushioning is a big plus along with the fact that it has a minimal drop. the shoe will log a few more miles than my shorter distance shoes. only con is that they do seem to hold a lot of sweat in the soles but what doesn't in a Florida summer or fall or spring :)

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: I have run in Newtons for about 3 years, I started with the Isaac and moved to the Gravity and now to the Distance. I run around 30-40 miles a week and I'm not a 'little' guy around 210lbs 6'0". I initially moved to Newtons because of Achilles issues running heel/toe in New Balance around 25 miles a week for years. The transition did take me a long time (around 6 months to get back to speeds I used to run), but I've been relatively injury free since the move. I really enjoy the Distance shoes as the elimination of the extra padding on the heel really seems to make my running much more comfortable.

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: I've been wearing Newtons for 5 or 6 years and will continue. At 30-40 miles per week I need a new pair about every 3 months

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance Running Shoe: I have been a HUGE proponent of Newton ever since I "converted" to the natural running style. This is an update on an already stellar shoe. The profile is slightly lower which makes this version even better. The feel, the support are nearly perfect and I highly recommend this shoe along with any other shoe produced by Newton. I have purchased 11 pairs and each pair has not let me down!
