Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance III Running Shoe: Newton's Distance models have become my favorite, and I dread the marketing department's inevitable need to change a great shoe. They have just the right combination of supports and freedoms, allowing my feet to move comfortably throughout the stride. The proof is that I've experienced no injuries and the wear patterns are correct. For many years, I ran with doctor-proscribed orthotics and stability shoes, without much benefit. These shoes and better muscle development allowed me to toll the orthotics.

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance III Running Shoe: I was previously set on running only in Brooks pure series when an associate got me to try the Newton Distance. I was skeptical at first, but with each run enjoyed them more. I've been rotating them with Brooks PureConnect3 over the past five months, have around 300 miles on them and they've held up pretty well. Based on their wear, I anticipate to get around 500 miles out of them. While most external reviews and Newton's site describes them as speed work and race shoes, I've done training runs up to 20 miles in them. I recently bought a second pair since they'll be discontinued soon. The only qualm that I have, is RRS didn't carry the limited edition color.

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance III Running Shoe: I used to run using the original Newton distance shoe(4 pairs) with no issues at all. The Distance III shoe is a worthy replacement and as good as the 1st generation, I found that the 5th lug does make it feel a bit more sturdy and it feels more stable when running.

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance III Running Shoe: I like the 2011 Newton distance better because it fit like a glove. I like my shoes to fit like a glove. The new ones are to wide in the forefoot and a little bit heavy. But the new ones have more pop than the previous Newtons.

Comments about Mens Newton Running Distance III Running Shoe: This is a great update and very different from its predecessors. The upper is pliable and extremely comfortable on the foot. The inner fabric around the heel feels terrific. The midsole and lugs seem more low profile than prior versions. Also more ground contact and flexibility. I don't know if they have the same "pop" as the 2013 Distance (maybe I don't either). But still feel fast. I've done a 7 mile easy run and 9 mile tempo and am very satisfied. Big improvement in the comfort category. Excellent choice as a marathon trainer and racer for neutral runners.
