When I first tried the shoes on I was leery at first. It only took a few short runs to sell me on them though. I've always needed it issue with a lot of cushion. My prior shoes were brooks and asics. The ONs give me the same support but the weight of a racer. I honestly don't think I'll run in a different shoe. I'm sold!

I have been experiencing some heel pain over the past few months and decided to try a brand new thing. So far, these are working. They are a most unusual shoe. Lightweight, almost feel like a barefoot shoe but have some cushion. I am thinking these are finally a shoe that works for me.

6'3 220lbs, and these by far are the best shoes I have used to this date. I have been running for about 5 years now. Have tried all sorts of shoes, flats, cushion, trail, and nothing stacks up to these as for as comfortability.
Farthest run I have taken on them is 6 miles and not one issue. I mainly use them for HIIT work on the treadmill and they hold up perfectly. No issues at all to report. If you are a bigger guy and need some serious cushioning but still have that light weight shoe then you need to order these now.

My best friend and I used these running shoes for the Honolulu marathon this year. Feet felt great afterwards. Only issues I have is they do run small thats why they say buy a 1/2 size up, so make sure you do. Living in NYC and running in the cold temperatures my feet have been quite cold due to the sneakers being a thin type of mesh material.. but overall a nice light ride....

I had never heard of the Swiss On Running company until I was referred to them by a friend, who was sponsored by On. The Cloud is a new type of shoe, so I tried it out. First off the shoe weighs next to nothing. Another great feature is the Swiss incorporated a unique lacing system which allows you to just slip the shoe on without tying any laces (shoes do ship with standard laces, for the more traditional runners who prefers tying). The default lacing system can be changed to make it a bit more tight, but I found the default configuration was good enough for me. It runs extremely well, cushioning is great, and On's CloudTec technology for cushioned landings and impact seems state-of-the-art. I've done some speed drills with this shoe, and it grips very well.

I do have a few gripes, but they're very minor (hence the 4/5 stars). The tongue sewing on either side did tear early on, but not too much where the shoe fell apart (I let On know and they shipped a replacement pair no questions asked). I think it's mostly from stretching the material once your foot is inside the shoe. And while the CloudTec stuff is great, there really isn't a lot of traction to begin with, so you really can only use these for hard surfaces. And lastly, they only have two color options, which isn't that big of a deal, but for people who like more of a variety it might behoove On to add a few more color scheme options in the future. Again, this is a new line, so I'm sure all these kinks will get worked out in their next iteration of the shoe.
