I use a gentle, biodegradable and fragrance-free detergent for all my laundry. But recently I pulled out my summer tech fabric tops and was overwhelmed by the residual sunscreen odor. My wife is scent-sensitive and I guess with a lack of fragranced products around the house, these odors really stand out to me now.

So when picking up a new pair of shoes at RRS, I took a chance on the Penguin product. Not only the sunscreen fragrance but perspiration odor was completely removed, and nothing was left in its place.

Really the only drawback is the price. I can't afford to use this after every run. But maybe occasional washes will be enough.

I use it for my soccer uniform. I just play recreational, but with two games a week, my gear needs a good detergent to keep it fresh. This works just great!

We use Penguin Sport Wash to get rid of the musty odor in damp clothing that has spent a couple of days in the laundry basket. Of course, it removes the odor from our gym clothes, as well!

When I first smelled this product from the container, I was concerned that the cloths are going to smell bad because the liquid smelled intense, but that didn't turn out to be the case after the cloths were laundered in it. Everything smells wonderful & feels soft.

I was skeptical that this detergent would work any better than all the other detergents on the market, I was surprised by the small amount required to effectively clean and deodorize and entire load of "stinky" clothes. It is very difficult to get all of the smell out of athletic clothing, but this detergent performed better than any other of several I have tried and it does not leave a heavy perfume in the clothing like some other detergents.

NOT a myth at all. Normal detergent makes tech clothing work less well. It adds softness and smell and it adds up. This stuff (and there is another brand that works just as well) makes a huge difference. Gets BO smell out of tech clothing and makes them wick much better. I have washed stuff side by side and it is different. Wash with this and the stuf dries faster and comes out with massive static cling out of the drier (yes, I dry tech clothing in the drier on low - it does not hurt them - I have stuff that is used weekly and is over 5 years old and in great shape)
