We use the regular-size detergent at home because we've found it effective in getting rid of odors in our running clothes. We use these when we travel to destination races or on short trips; that way, we don't have to bring our sweaty, stinky clothes home in our luggage. Based on a previous review, we make sure we pack the sports wash in something that's not easily crushed and then store that container in a plastic storage bag. We've not had a problem yet. The amount of sports wash is a bit expensive for what you get - but the convenience makes buying the travel packs worth it to us.

I love Penguin's sport wash and was pretty excited to see that they'd introduced a travel version. Unfortunately, these packets are very flimsy. I took two in a carry-on and both burst, making a huge mess in my bag. Good idea, horrible execution. If you're going to do this, do it right, Penguin.
