I'm training for a marathon. The group that is running the training has these waiting for us after the long runs. They are great! I can actually put it all out on the run, eat one of these and make it back to my car and drive home. Great recovery bar.

This is a great bar to grab right after you run. Good mix of the critical nutrition that the body needs to recharge. I have tried a bunch of bars but could never find one that had a decent taste and had the perfect mix of carbs, protien, fats and minerals that are critical in that 30 minute window. This has it.

I saw these discounted as one of the daily specials. I was looking for a healthier snack at work, especially for days after a hard morning run. Plus, I wanted something calorie dense for my son to eat after school and before XC practice.

These are great tasting bars, digest easily, and seem to do the trick with energy and recovery.

I use this nutrition bar immediately after a long run to aid in recovery. It tastes good but it tends to melt in hot climates.

I don't know what it is about the ingredients of these particular bars. From a strict nutrition perspective they aren't great. However, my experience with them in recovery is remarkable. They honestly are better than other bars for recovery, although I'd probably eat something else as a snack. They make my muscles recover faster and prevent the massive swings in energy level later in the day.

I agree with the other 5 star ratings. I just purchased the Peanut Butter/Caramel flavor and had one following a 4 miler. They taste really good and my legs felt less tired the next day. I'm going to buy the Cookies and Cream/Caramel flavor too!

I always eat one after a run. My favorite is the cookies and cream. I've noticed that if I eat one of these within 30 minutes after my run for stage 3 and a power bar endurance at stage 1 I have much less muscle fatigue and very little (if any) muscle pain the following day. Make sure you are buying these with C2 MAX carb blend on the label for more sustained energy to your muscles.
