I have been running in Mizuno Wave Creations for several years... I saw the review for this shoes in the fall 2009 Shoe Guide at Runner´s World website. The reviewer said they were great for heavy runners and since I'm 200 pounds 6'9" I kept that comment on the back of my mind until I begun to look for a replacement for the Creations a couple of days ago (which still run well because they're indestructible). First thing: Someone said they run a full size shorter. In my case I wore US11 in the Creations and had to go to a US12 on the Puma Complete Velosis. So that's true for me at least. Roomy toebox: Also true, it´s great. Cushion? Never tried anything remotely similar. This is one cushioned shoe. You could probably tie the insoles with Sellotape to your feet and run comfortably... And then the shoe has foam everywhere and like 2 types of eva plus an "idCell" unit... Even the shoelaces are cushioned. Really. You need to see your feet to believe you're pounding pavement. It's also the most visible shoe under dark conditions I've ever seen. It has reflectant everywhere. Hope they last... Great for long runs. By the way I underpronate a little and have wide feet, run mostly in the street early in the morning (it's hot where I live). I'm giving this shoe 5 stars. Can't think of anything I would change on them. Really.

I upgraded my previous rating to 5 stars because after training in them for a while , I think these shoes are great! All the minor aches and pains I had previously are completely gone. I like these better than my Asics Gel Nimbus 10s.
I do wear custom orthotics in them though.

These shoes were used in three triathlons and are as tough as nails. They held up very well in the wet climate of East Hawaii for much longer than they should. They really protected my feet training on asphalt, trails and even lava flows. I can't recommend them enough!!!

did not get to use as they were way to small - I would order at least 1 full size larger.

Nice training shoe. I'm 6'2" tall, 205 lbs and training for a sprint triathalon. This shoe is quite comfortable but needs to be fitted up a full size, perhaps because of the wide padding at the back of the shoe (which is great cushioning by the way). I had some minor aches and pains from my first couple of jogs with these shoes but Im hoping they will disappear in time. I like the way my foot rests inside the shoe because I am a underpronator and the shoe counterbalances that quite well.

I usually run in New Balance 993 shoes which I like alot. I always liked Puma sneakers except for running. The different non-generic style is what attracted me to the Puma Velosis. After running in the Puma Velosis it had a different feel than the New Balance but I really liked it. The Velosis is a really comfortable shoe to run in, has lots of cushioning & felt pretty stable. After reading the reviews I did order up a half size & they feel perfect right out of the box on my feet. If you're thinking about getting the Puma Velosis definetly give it a try.

6'3", 195, high arch, narrow foot, 30+ a week. I really like this shoe, but I found that sizing up only 1/2 was too short. And with my narrow foot I didn't notice the width at all...returned and re-ordered a full size up - more later.

Incredibly comfortable sneaker. Can't believe this is a Puma. I run 50+ miles a week and the cushioning in this sneaker saves my knees. Just lace tightly as toe box is a bit wide.

This shoe is good for Neutral runners who may slightly pronate. The toe box is roomy and the cushions in the foot is great. After 10-12K runs the foot is not fatigued and is cradled well inside the shoe.

Good nuetral plus. As other sites have reviewed the forefoot is a tad wide but not taking away from the ride. The shoes has a good weight and not too firm or stiff. Great Value.
