Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: Just 3 weeks prior to running the Twin Cities Marathon I developed heel pain. I visited the Doctor and local running stores and they told me the same thing, rest and no running. Since I was scheduled to run the marathon the time was already invested. I had to run. I limped through the marathon and my time was awful, and legs and feet ached. I stopped running and was in pain every day. My job as a pharmacist did not allow me to rest my feet. my plantar fascitis grew worse every day. I decided to try these arch supports and I was amazed at what a difference they made. I have orthotics and they work perfectly together. After the first week of wear I started running again pain free! I work 10 hour days on my feet --- pain free! I have now purchased 4 pair and can not go a day without them. I went from not running because of the pain to running 10 mile runs pain free. They have even helped with my IT band pain! Thanks a million Road Runner Sports I owe my well being to your products. Pros

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I tried these out for the first time today. I wish I had known about these nine months ago when my plantar fasciitis began. Eventually it worsened to where my 40 miles a week of running became 0 miles a week.
Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I work in hospitals on concrete floors all day. I have looked for YEARS for the perfect shoe to eliminate feet pain. Now I swear by these and have been using them for about 6yrs now. I buy several pairs at a time so i always have them on hand. I can't imagine my active lifestyle without these. I have a size 11 foot and I buy the mediums. I agree that sometimes the quality is not as great as it could be but over the last 6 yrs i may have had 2 pairs that weren't well made. Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: Slid around too much and actually made my heel feel worse after a full day of wearing. Pros

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I use this daily for work, and it has helped me to eliminate foot pain. I have high arches and was in a lot of pain. I am on my feet all day at work. I have tried other products, and nothing has helped like these have.I love that I can wear these with any kind of shoe. I really love that I no longer have foot pain and my feet are not tired and sore after working all day.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I have suffered from periodic issues with plantar fasciltis for several years. When I am having pain, I wear these daily with all types of shoes or boots and get relief almost immediately. After wearing them for a few weeks and stretching I have complete relief until I push too far again. This is my second set of these and they work great.
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I have some arch and metatarsal pain with harder runs so wanted some more support. I have used other ProTec products (knee support, IT band, and achillies band) all with GREAT success. The IT band is increadible. This product doesn't add much support or lift. I would put this on par with arch support socks, not much more. Returned it.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I have had bouts of plantar fasciitis and heel spurs many times over the 40 plus years I have been a runner. I've used this product several times to relieve heel pain It gives some support to the arch and lifts the heel so the pain is lessened. Do not use it while running however. It caused me pain on the top of my foot and some tendon stress around my ankle. It is better suited for simply wearing while walking in your day to day activity.
Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: The material is slippery. It will not stay in place. I was unable to put on a shoe or use as it continually shifted position.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I had a bad case of PF a few years ago -= that got better with lots of PT for strengthening hips & glutes. Read on some PF board about a guy who used these and it helped his PF. I have to say they do stabilize the arch - my heel hurts only when I stop my strengthening. They lasted fairly long too ~2 years

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: Customer service was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, informative, and helped me to save for now and the future by signing up for the VIP. It was delivered very fast. I haven't had them long so I can't say how they will hold up, but my brother-in-law who is a pharmacist has had them for years. They have given him great relief. He wears them over socks, not bare feet. He also gets Keene footwear. That's all he wears.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I have been plagued with Plantar Fasciitis for the past two years. It was limiting my ability to run, stay healthy and in shape. The Pro Tech arch support has changed all that. I wear it regularly while at work, 8-10 hours a day. It provides the support needed. I wear a boot at night. The combination of both have eliminated my Plantar Fasciitis pain. I do not wear the arch support when running.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: This might sound weird but I'm actually not much of a runner.......I'm a skater. So posting on this website might seem foreign to some but I believe if there's anything we can both relate to, it's foot pain. Jumping down staircases and having flat feet is a horrible combination, which ultimately led to the arch in my right foot giving out. For weeks I could barely walk and I also work in the television industry where I'm on my feet for 10+ hours so that didn't help at all. The pain became excruciating and every insole I tried seemed to hurt it even more.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: The velcro strap will not hold the arch support in place. This is not worth the money. I bought a planter fasciitis arch support at a local retail store for less then $5. It works a lot better then Pro-Tech's arch support.
Pros
Cons Best Uses Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: The main problem with these is that they do not contain any elastic. So to get them tight you really have to pull on them hard and even then then tend to slide down toward your toes. The strap really needs to be elastic to hold it in place better and grip you sock. I wouldn't recommend buying them

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: Bought these after getting plantar faciitis the first time training for Ironman. Pretty uncomfortable and difficult to squeeze in a shoe. Rock Tape provides just as much arch support, is comfortable inside a shoe, and believe it has helped me get past this injury.
Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for a few years and have tried the Stroudsburg sock, stretching, massaging, and orthotic shoe inserts. While they all have their merits, the Pro-Tech Athletics Arch Support has helped the most. I wear these arch supports daily (without any other support devices), but continue to use the orthotic inserts when I run (3-7 miles at a time). Pros

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: Haven't had this product long but it is good for walking barefoot if you have foot problems and need arch support. If I have been very active and my feet need some extra cushion these are great for walking around the house. I also use them in my cross trainer for added support during circuit training. I don't use them in walking/running shoes. For that I use my RRS custom insoles.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I saw someone using these arch supports and got a recommendation and link to buy them online. I have used them for about one month, once or twice a week.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: My plantar fasciitis is FINALLY disappearing after using this wrap all day at work and while running. It compliments my rehab of picking up marbles with my toes.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I ordered this product with moderate expectations, I was very pleasantly surprised on first use as they are comfortable and effective in my running shoes. I am recovering from plantars fasciitis and these are a big help. My wife has a pair, too, and is very satisfied with daily, continuous use in her shoes. She has had immediate relief from a long term plantars problem.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I bought this because I was tired of taping my feet all the time for my plantar fascitis. It is a great option to wear during the day, but doesn't offer the amount of support I need during a workout. It is easy to use. My problem is I have skinny feet so there is overage of strap, which I should probably cut off. Might work great for those who need mild/moderate support.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: These are great if you suffer from PF - I won't run without them & if I know I'm going to be on my feet for a long period of time, I'll wear them then, too. Since I've been using these along with a boot at night,"Superfeet Insoles" & wearing Birkenstocks as my other shoes, I haven't had a PF reoccurance. Only complaint is how overpriced they are for a little piece of fabric & Velcro. I swore I was going to make my own, but here I am ordering my 3rd pair.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: The first thing I loved about these arch supports is that they came in a pair. I have a friend who purchased a similar support and paid the same amount I did but for only one. I had an arch injury and wore this support 24/7 for a few weeks. Before purchasing this support I was very concerned that this injury would not heal because I am on my feet all day. It took some time (over a month)but I have no pain and only wear the support when I wear very flat shoes. I'm running again without pain.

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: this is helpful, but slips within shoe. does provide relief for plantar fasc./fallen arches. NOTE TO RRS-this is not generally available or known to Podiatry specialists, and should be promoted for this problem (non-runners included) Pros

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: I have HIGH arches. I tried many different types of insoles, but none allowed for exactly the right placement for the support I want. These arch-support bands are fabulous. You can place the pad in just the right spot. I won't use anything else. I don't buy special insoles any longer. I use them for injury prevention so can't comment on injury recovery use. Pros

Comments about Pro-Tec Athletics Injury Recovery Arch Support: This seemed to work well. The only problem I had is that I live in Hawaii and wear sandals without socks everywhere. It doesn't say on the website but it says in the instructions to wear a sock under the strap. I don't wear socks so the sizing was off. It was too big. I tightened it as much as possible but it would have worked better in a smaller size. Pros
