This really helped work out the knots from a pulled quadricep. It is convenient to use and got into the muscles as needed. The negative is that the black grease inside the roller tends to ooze out of the ends. If you use it at work (periodically during the day) like I do, be careful. I ended up getting the grease on my khakis a few different times.

I use the roller massager in areas that are hard to reach when I self massage. It is great to use after stretching, after longer runs, after strength training, just to loosen up as you relax and watch tv. It's small enough to take in a bag, just about anywhere you know you will use it. (Yes, take it on vacation.)

I'm going through physical therapy right now for a pulled quad and adductor and they use a product that I believe is called "The Stick" at the facility I go to. That one hurts a little bit (pinches) because of the plastic or rubber, and if you are doing it directly on your skin it has that feeling of "friction" burn. I wanted to order something similar to use at home and it has been great/helpful. Even my physical therapist said he liked this one better than the one they were currently using so he bought it for himself. I highly recommend this as a "must-have" to anyone who is active or for loosening out tight muscles.

Works fine for intended purpose but the grease inside works its way to the end. I've used it at work and now ruined two pair of khakis by getting the black grease from the inside of the roller on my pants. Use it with caution and obviously only at home in a pair of old shorts you don't care about.

I've used other roller/massagers, but really prefer this one over all others as the foam on the roll and the foam in the handles makes it much more comfortable and effective. The worst part about this is everyone else keeps using it around the house so I can never find it when I go looking for it for myself :)

This product is simple and effective. It is easy to store out of sight and fits under chairs, beds or in the corner of a closet. The only "problem" I have with it is that I did not think to invent it myself!
