Great for helping release the pressure point when I have sciatica flare ups. The hardest roller I've found, and I've tried them all.

      You can't simply roll on it. It requires proper placement for max effectiveness. I can use this in the prone (chest down) position, or standing and rolling against a wall. In the supine (chest up) position, rolling it on my lower back is very difficult/painful. A plain, ridge-less roller would have been a better choice for me. You have to really place the ridges which involves lifting your own wt. AND that weight bearing down on a rigid surface.
      I have a lot of tennis soreness in my lower back. So, I recommend for the older athlete - get one of RRS's longer, smooth models to get the most out of a roller.
      I play lots of tennis and swim laps regularly. 50+ yo female.

      I did appreciate the free express Xmas shipping. My young son will probably be able to use this without difficulty.
