Good shoe. I like the great cushioning; it has a "rebound" or "spring" on toe-off which makes me feel I actually have some zip when running. The heel is a little thicker than most shoes, which is its only down side. I alternste these with Asics Gel-Kayano 13, which have a touch less cush with a normal heel.

I have had the SyncroGuides for about 2 months and ordered a 2nd pair to rotate with. I have used the Brooks Beast for the last 4 years and this shoe is light years ahead of it. It is by far the best shoe I have come across for me (heavier runner with normal arches and moderate over-pronator). I hope they don't stop making the show.

I just bought these new tires and I must say they are the best shoe I have ever run with. I usually buy New balance but this time I tried These and they are night and day. I recomend these shoes to the heavier runners who over pronate. Again this is a great shoe.

These shoes were not the right fit for me. I returned them because they turned out to be too flexible and have excessive cushioning for me (I'm 5'11, over-pronate, weigh between 155 and 160 lbs., have medium arches, and run about 35 to 40 miles per week. I ordered the Synchro Pace shoes instead(Stability) and they seem to work better for me with less cushioning, lighter, and more stability. I gave the Synchro Guides 3 stars because of these observations but also becasue they are very comfortable right from the box and they're great at preventing blisters with the "seamless" interior (there is one small seam but it does not cause any problems). If you need the extra cushioning and you weigh more than 170 lbs, you'll probably do well with this shoe. Overall I'm impressed with Pearl Izumi's anti-blister capability. It's too bad more manufacturers don't use a similar technology.

I've had the SyncroGuide's now for 3 weeks and 60 miles on them. The longest run of 13 miles and am training for a Marathon in them. They have excellent stabilty and great cushioning in the heel and forefoot. The seamless design makes them feel the most comfortable shoe I've ran in. I ran in Kayano's with Orthotics inserts the past 2 years and seemed to have too much correction. The SyncrGuides are a step in the right diection and no Orthotics. I'm considering a 2nd pair for rotation.

I've been running in Mizuno stability/cushioning shoes for about 10 years. I liked what I read about the PI SG and thought I'd give them a try. My arches were very sore after a 5 mile run. I decided to try a few shorter runs, but the problem persisted. I've never had arch problems before, so I'm thinking its the shoes. Maybe there's too much motion control for someone with only slight pronation issues. Back to Mizuno - lesson learned.

I did not like this shoe. I just did not fit my running needs. It is a heavy shoe, I brought a pair of New Balance 767 to replace them New Balance I am back. I am still going to wear Pearl Izumi, when I backpack on the road.

I've run in both the syncroGuide and syncroPace. Both have a great feel and are very comfortable. The Guide provides more pronation control and keeps the shin splints at bay. My only complaint is that they seem to break down quickly after about 300 miles.

I have very flat feet and these shoes are a terrific fit for support and control.
