I am 6', 190. I have renewed my passion for running over the past year and, as a result, have been able to lose over 60 pounds. I am currently in the 4th week of training for my first half-marathon in February and loving every minute of it. I got these Pearls for Christmas from my wife. They are my first pair of PIs but will not be my last. The seamless design is ultra comfortable. I was a little doubtful of the recomendation for a stability plus shoe as I think I have typically purchased nuetral shoes in the past. RR sports was dead on and this shoe is awesome. If they are a durable as they are comfortable, I will be a Pearl man for life. I went for a 5.5 mile trail run this morning before church and the Pearls were the ticket. I am impressed with these shoes thus far. I normally run in New Balance but these shoes made me a believer. GO PEARL!!!

I am 5' 9", 168. I am a triathlete doing primarily 70.3's with 1 Ironman a year. I run between 20 and 35 miles a week. Just received my second pair of these shoes. I use them form my 2 hour runs. They're the best I've ever had. Great cushioning and support. Although I use lighter shoes for races and speed work, I'm considering using them in Kona this year.

I've had plenty of pearls in the past, but never had issues like I,ve had with these . The sycro infinity feels great walking around the house, but as I started running with them I noticed a lack of cushioning. I,ve linked recent minor knee pain to the new shoe, but only putting 50 or so miles on them that my not be entirely fair. Pearls have always been good running shoes for me, I'm just not sure about the sycro infinity,s.

I never had a shoe feel so good walking around the house and HURT so bad when running. I run ultra-marathons and my feet hurt more in these shoes after 5 miles, then running 50 miles.

I was excited to run in these shoes because of all the positive reviews but, they did not work for me. I am 5’ 11” 190 18+ mile a week. Like John’s review I found very little cushioning (felt like running on hard rubber) and found the tread to be lacking. I live in Seattle and the night I ran almost slipped a few time on the wet road, never had that problem before. But, did like there new seamless lace up, that was very nice.

I was looking for a shoe to rotate with my Mizuno Nirvanas. First time I wore these Pearl Izumi's I did a 7 mile run. They were so comfortable I forgot I had them on. Excellent fit and comfort.

I was searching for a new shoe to try. I am 6' 210 and have low arches. These shoes are awesome! I would highly recommend this shoe to any who are built like me and enjoy running. My feet are well cushioned and supported throughout my runs, and they feel great after each.

Mild overpronator, 6'1", 210lbs. 25-35 miles a week, always training for a half marathon. I've now had these for a month and can say they are my new favorites. I purchased a pair of New Balance 1224s and can say this is a better fitting more comfortable shoe.
Excellent feel and cushioning. Fit is somewhat small compared to other shoes but hasn't been an issue with me. I do notice where my big toe hits up front at the seam there may be break down in that area in the future. The seamless sock like outer of this shoe is wonderful, nothing to rub your feet the wrong way. And again, the cushioning seems just right, not too soft yet not too harsh. Will be interesting to see how these Pearl Izumis feel in three plus months as this is about the time my shoes become uncomfortable.
Overall, excellent shoe.

I really, really dig these shoes-just the right blend of cushioning and stability for me. The shoes run a bit small, sizewize and I've actually been running in them sock-free...and love it! RRS was out of my size, so I ordered direct from Pearl Izumi and thier service is just as prompt as RRS.

Fri, November 07,2008:
These shoes have killer looks, but functionally, they were just “average” for me. They had decent support, and the upper was very comfortable (it is seamless), but I was not thrilled with the cushioning or response. I’m 5’10” and 175 and a mild-overpronator. Be careful of the fit. I needed to size up one full size, as they seemed small in the toebox. Also, the laces were too short. I could hardly double-knot.

I highly recommend these shoes for those like me - medium body frame, flat feet, moderate overpronation. The space-age looks took a little getting used to, the performance did not. Great shoes!

Like most everyone else, I've had problems finding a shoe that works for me (6' - 225#). This shoe has great cushioning and stability. Felt great right out of the box. Goodbye Nike Equalon.

First ever pair of pearls. Faithful to brooks in the past. I think I've found my new shoe. Rebound and cushining is excellent. Just the right amout of support without being stiff. Best shoe yet..
