Great shoe, used them for running on pavement, rocks, and treadmill. The colors on RR are just ugly so I didn't buy them again. They are a great shoe though, im 6'4 210 and they were great for me but they wore out very quickly, only downfall to them.

    I have tried many running shoes over the years for triathlons. The Pearl Izumi Transition is the first shoe that enabled me to run sockless without causing blisters. The elastic laces allow a quick transition from bike to run. True drainage in the sole allows water to escape keeping the shoes light for the long runs. The mesh upper lets your feet breath on hot summer runs. I can't say enough about these shoes. I am pulling faster times on my runs because of the combined bennefits of the shoe. Pearl Izumi did it right.
