$20/year is a great deal. I buy at least 4 pair of shoes per year, all my socks, shorts and tops along with bars and the savings really pays off. Plus the 60 day return is unmatched by any other retailer. Well worth the yearly membership fee.

saves you money, which is a good thing especially in these times. pays for itself the first time you use it, then keeps saving you money every time after. if you buy once a year you save a few bucks. buy twice or more and you'll save quite a bit.

I LOVE VIP Membership! I was questioning doing this for the longest time and finally did it with my last shoe purchase a month and a half ago. Well... at that time, I purchased shoes that were a half size too big and causing me a lot of pain as a result. Today, I called and they didn't give me any trouble or ask any questions, but quickly worked to get my new shoes, a half-size smaller shipped to me ASAP! I just ship back the bad shoes! THIS is hands down the best customer service I have ever experienced! THANKS ROADRUNNERSPORTS!

I've been a member for nearly 10 years, and it's been well worth it. Excellent service and prices are competitve. W/Free shipping and specials, the $40 fee is easily recouped if you order several pairs of shoes/clothing. And I'm very frugal with my $$, always looking for a better deal.

Not a scam people, have them explain the benefits and the cost, they tell you it renews annualy and the 1.99 is the price for the first year, that why its called a promotion... if you order 2 pairs of shoes per year, it pays for itself. people who say its a scam are fools who pay for shipping and full cost on their shoes. read the fine print and do the math runners.

The bad thing about this program is the automatic renewal on the credit card... with no warning by email first so I can make a decision whether to change the card or renew or not renew. If you buy lots from RRS it's a great deal. Otherwise, not so much.

I have always accepted the renewal as it comes on the credit card, even though some years I have not used it as much, because it only takes ordering a couple pair of shoes to pay for the memebership. The only thing that keeps me from purchasing all my running shoes here is that I like to give business to the local running store. Customer service with RRS has always been excellent, even with returns, which I have had a few over the last 10 years.

My review is a bit different than most. I signed up for this program and have rarely used it. So I was surprised to see a renewal charge on my credit card. I called the VP Customer Service just a few minutes ago and received excellent service. I was given a choice to continue for a year and have the autopay turned off - or to have my money refunded and cancel my membership.
It's one thing to have great customer service when you are making money, but it's a great company that provides excellent service when someone is cancelling.
