      Got these shoes for the Spartan race in Malibu. Very lightweight like track shoes. Worked very well gripping in the mud and not retaining water when going through water obstacles. I'm a heavy runner, 240, so was worried about support; they did great.
      Only draw back, that many reviewers have stated in the past, is that it doesn't grip well on wet surfaces like the slippery wall. Other than that, a great overall shoe.

        Excellent shore for mud run! Did aSpartan Beast- shoes felt great mile after mile. Stayed so light with great traction. Only downside is they occasionally trapped small rocks and without any cushioning they caused irritation and the shooter had to be removed. Don't size up- best to wear thin socks.
