      I bought these pants for running, to use as a waterproof outer layer. They are just right to wear over other layers when it's cold or alone when it's warmer but raining. They are even great to pull on over casual wear to walk the dog! They are light and versatile, extremely well made, with Goretex outside and a net lining inside to prevent friction and wear on the Goretex.
      I loved the ones I bought for myself so much, I bought a second pair to surprise my friend. These pants have been just right for running in her Chicago neighborhood this winter. She loves them, too.
      By the way, one of the best thing about these as rain pants is that they are quiet and light. Many rain pants are noisy, stiff, and heavy. These are light, quiet and flexible.
      Comfortable and perfectly suitable for the purpose.

        These Goretex pants are the perfect outer layer for running on rainy days. Designed to be durable, they have a full, inner, light-weight lining to reduce friction and wear of the Goretex. They are loose enough to add layers underneath to adjust for warmth as needed, but not so insulated that they are too hot to run in as a single layer. They allow free movement for running, and fit well without binding or catching during fast running. They were exactly what I wanted for a versatile, rainproof outerlayer that can be warmed up with addition of tights underneath for very cold days or used as a single layer on days with mid-range temperatures. They are also comfortably breathable, so great as a single layer as warm-ups even when it's not raining. I liked these so much I ordered some for my running mate. They were a big hit!
