Amazing jacket that I'm so sad I have to return. Bought on sale and purchased a medium, same as 2 other R gear jackets. All came together and the 2 other mediums fit perfectly. This really was way too small and restricted movement, which won't work for winter running. The hood is outstanding - best I've seen on a running jacket - and I'm so disappointed I can't exchange this for a large due to it being out of stock. If you can size up and still find your size, I highly recommend this jacket!

I bought this jacket as a windproof and warmer outer layer to wear during the cold months over my under layers - especially loving the longer length. I usually wear a small or x-small though after reading reviews of this running small I decided on the medium. It's still tight and restricts movements when I tried it on over a lightweight sweater. The sleeves are long enough if not using the thumb slits, otherwise after having it on for a while they started to cut into my hand between thumb and forefinger. I really wanted to love this jacket because of the longer length and is the reason I may still keep it. If it proves warm enough to not have to layer up as much as I normally do for single digits, to keep the fit bearable, it will be okay - but still the tightness in the elbows and through the shoulders keeps it from being super comfortable and moveable which I was going for. I would have sized up to a large but medium (on sale) was the biggest available. I would only recommend this item to a friend if they sized up 2 whole sizes to get a better fit. Super disappointed for that reason.

I love the longer length of this jacket, especially in the winter months. It is excellent in the wind and snow for sure. The hood is comfortable if I need it and it ties snugly but again comfortably around my head and does not restrict movement. I consider it to be more of an outer shell - and used several layers underneath it which worked very well. For this reason, I initially returned it for the next size up (I usually wear a medium and ultimately went with a large) which was perfect.

Bought this for running fairly short distances. I like the length. The fit is OK, just a tiny bit tight through the shoulders. I am afraid if I went up a size that it would be too big everywhere else. I expected it to be a bit heavier or thicker since the description mentions "you'll stay extra warm in this jacket's INSULATED LINER", there is not really a liner of any kind (maybe they mean a membrane of some sort?)(It is [or feels like] for most part a lightweight single layer of material). It is, however, fairly windproof. I will wear it over my midweight wool top for a bit of extra warmth. It was not quite what I was expecting but it will have a place in my wardrobe nonetheless.

I bought this jacket to replace my old one. The Women's RRS Pro Velocity Full Zip Hoodie. The description seem to come closed to my old jacket but it was far from it. It restricts moments. It's too small on the arms. I do not recommend this jacket for running.
